Yes well it has been most of the season!

 

To be fair to the Manager I think he took off OBrien at the end to let the crowd show their appreciation for his efforts this season.

 

Possibly, Bowyer did make a big fuss of the lad when he can off, I was hearing at the end O'Brien was one of the few players getting applause.

 

I do hope so, that would suggest we are having a successful season.

 

If woods can stay fit he is a very solid left back for that league. Big IF mind

It wouldn't be at all surprising if such a thread suddenly appears...but I have some parsnip (and other veggie) seeds to plant, and grass to mow, before turning to stats-mongering. It's a rare sunny day over here today; must take advantage of it! I think your number should be about right though.

I just don't see how Bowyer is going to assemble a team blazing away at the top of the league ? Although that is unacceptable. Those clubs have some sort of established squad of players. Bowyer will have 10-12 of this season's shower plus 12 he will pluck out of a hat?. Of the latter 12 football logic dictates that 6 of them will be mistakes and we might get 6 players who become key players. Then we have to go through the phase of trying to move on those from this season who continue to flounder. Then we have to move out the "mistakes" that Bowyer will inevitably make. It's a mess and in the end decent guy as Bowyer is I feel the" Bowyer era" will be a bit like the "Taylor era" you have to go through it to get to the next era before there will be progression.

 

There are 6 teams there so are you saying we are going to finish 7th? If so, we'll be in the playoffs - happy days.

 

I named six but there are others Exeter, Forest Green/Tranmere/Mansfield, Exeter ???
If we are in the play offs we will have failed in my view. But the task Bowyer has is enormous and he has to have us in shape in two months !

You must be joking ! After the season we have had I would snap your hand off for a playoff place next year. Gary Bowyer has said it took him a couple of transfer windows to sort out his Blackpool side , so you may have to be patient.

 

Just watching Salford v Eastleigh ...We couldn't compete with either of them ! The size of these players is unreal ? Probably only Mellor maybe Paudie with an earthly chance against any of them ? They would just batter us physically. Bowyer needs to take the players out of the top six of the NL they're the ones who will be hurting at losing their FL opportunity ! and ready to make an impression in League 2 which is really just another section of the NL.

I know he has not played much, but City have not lost a match that Calum Woods has played in!
