    It was busy last night which I’m pleased about as recently seems to have been a bit quiet.

    The food was superb. Piping hot and fresh. Disappointed they no longer do the big bottles of kingfisher though :(

    First curry: Mumtaz for a family bash. Vividly recall the bizarre (for someone used to supping orange juice with every meal) mango lassi.

    From then it was a regular Friday takeaway from the Kash in Wyke.

    My first proper curry was from Kash in Wyke.

    First sit down meal was Spicey Cottage in Wibsey.

    Kash was brilliant back in the day.

    I was talking to a friend at the weekend about being taken for food by old man as a kid, anybody got any memories of Pie Toms? Used to love the pie and peas with lashing of mint sauce, quality!

    Didn't Kiplings get outed for posting a bad review of Bhajis and Beer on Trip Advisor.:brig:

    I am familiar with those two and Kebabeesh, the latter & Kiplings are living in the past, no wonder Bhajis and Beer is doing so well on a weekend.

    Top stuff. Starters were particularly good: pethis - fried balls of potato and coconut with proper spice, & the puri - shells filled with chickpeas and crunchy bits then topped with yoghurt and tamarind. #textures

    I've never been so can't compare the food but from the menu I've seen, which is pretty limited, it looked good but was nothing hugely different from the norm.

    Never been but i guess its a nice place where you can get a curry and a beer. Just like dozens of other places. I did like the description on trip advisor, 'in Greengates (near Leeds).'
