It's on Micklegate on the right as you walk away from the river.

Wow. Must be spectacular. It's the old Curry Corner on Burley Road. Had a look at it a month or so back but it didn't look "owt" special.

I wouldn't take the score too seriously - full marks are a regular occurence in that paper. The pub of the week (popular one in Appletreewick) also got a perfect score...

How much is the meal on its own, without staying there?

At those prices, you don't gulp, you nibble or sip delicately.

That’s certainly true. Because, as with most tasting menus, the portions are so small that if you gulped you’d swallow each course in one mouthful.

Asked for my opinion on an eatery by one of Yorkshire’s most eminent epicure/food writer.
    Does it get any better?

    Don’t blow it.
    Don’t blow it.

    Here goes

    Royal Delhi Brighouse-

Slightly more palatable price wise in the restaurants with rooms category, had a couple of good stays las year at Estbek House, Sandsend near Whitby. Specializes in local seafood and does a fantastic take on a fish pie, it's signature dish. From memory £280 to £340, depending which room, for dinner, bed and breakfast. Only 4 or 5 rooms. Bit quirky but we like it.

Succinct. A "man of the people" take. I'm left intrigued.

    My apologies
I was channeling my inner “countdowner”

If I had to pick 2 words to describe the Royal Delhi,”fine dining” would be towards the bottom of the list.
Absolutely nothing wrong with it but “fine dining” it certainly ain't.
It’s pretty much a bog standard Indian restaurant.
    Akbar’s,Mumtaz esque really.

Ate at Anello in Slaithwaite last night. A pizza place from the founders of the Rudy's chain, with a couple of former Moorcock chefs in the mix too.

Very good. And Slaithwaite was lively.
