    I agree. There's a group of what me and my Barnsley mate describe as 'Championship Paupers' who take it in turns to look as if they are competing, but in reality are never that far away from mid-table League 1.

    Luton seem to have bucked the trend a bit like Burnley did. What Robbins has done at Coventry is a miracle and gives all hope - but I always feel that club could easily implode again.

    It is not sustainable though. It cannot be, at some point the donations stop for a variety of reasons. Then what? I cannot see Salford being able to attract the kind of crowds that we do, no matter what league they are in.

    Why not? They can get about 1300 in the Midland Road and up-to 1840 in the Bradford End. So potentially over 3,000.
    If we sell 3,000 @ an average of £18 then that will generate £54,000 for City, just on the tickets.
    Better to have the away end full. Some clubs who visit City bring under 200. So if we say the average is again £18, then that would provide a mere £3,600 for City.

    It has been a heck of a finish to the season, makes a refreshing change to the last half decade

    I didn’t take it as a criticism, l thought you seemed surprised at the figures.

    If City can sell a lot of tickets, then we could get 18,000-20,000 for the last match.

    The discounted tickets against Colchester, saw us get a gate of 20.283. It would be great to push those sort of figures once again.

    It would be excellent, but I just cannot see us getting around 7,000 ‘pay on the day’ folk.

    We currently have over 14,190 Season Tickets (and the Club counts them all as attendance,     although doesn’t allocate Loyalty Points unless the holder has gone through the turnstile!!!) If Orient sell all their allocation that could take it to say 17,500.

    For sure we will sell a number of ‘pay on the day’, but not enough for a full house.

    It would be excellent to beat the Colchester attendance!

    Home end sales are looking similar to Gillingham and that was over 18,000 home fans, we've not had an attendance below 17,500 since the Tranmere game on a Tuesday night. Our last sub 17,500 on a non 7:45 kick off was Crawley in October. Last day of the season always attracts a good crowd so I'd expect at least 19,000.

    If the combined figure comes to around 22,000, then we could break the record for the highest league attendance at Valley Parade since the ground was rebuilt (22,057).Utterly amazing!

    Apparently you would have to go back to 1957 when apparently there were 22,126 at VP for a league game.http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/brac.htm

    I am sure there are one or two on here who were at that match. Who was it against and what was the score?

    Wasn't at that match but I was at the game against Orient on 15 April 1970 when Orient were also champions, that time of the old Division 3. Hope history doesn't repeat itself - we lost 0-1.
