Don't get why people don't understand that he has been out for 20 months and it's going to take time. I doubt Bowyer isn't even thinking about introducing to the 1st team squad anytime soon. We have players coming back soon that are more important that Reeves. I think he will play on Tuesday then we will see how he is after the game then go from there. He might play a part in the reply but league matches I don't think we will see him this year still.

 

Why do you think he will play a part in the FA Cup, but not league games? The team Bowyer put out yesterday tells me he is taking the FA Cup seriously, and so are the players. The effort they put into yesterdays game tells us that. So if he can play in a competition that everyone associated with the club takes seriously (against higher league opposition), then why not a league game against league 2 teams?

 

As many stated the game being called off next week really meant it was wise to put out a full strength team. It would be foolish not too.

However, his bench had Tuesday's Mickey Mouse game in mind.

I'm not saying he will start the reply but I think he will be on the bench but in the league we will hopefully have Harry, Palmer, Donaldson back soon enough and McCartan was only out for 2 weeks, Cook back for the next game. All these players are more important than Reeves. Sorry but that's the truth of the matter.

 

Okay, but only Palmer and Cooke play center mid position (same as Reeves), so Donaldson, Pritchard, and McCartan are irrelevant. Palmer and Cooke aren't even our players, so surely GB would favor giving minutes to Reeves over Palmer? Palmer will also take time to get up to speed after his lengthy layoff.

Beep beep @Fordy117 reversing, apart from your good self I think many posters have made similar comments as Bowyer has, before Bowyer made them, 20 minutes here 20 minutes there, bring him on slowly and monitor his progress.
I said Christmas but seeing he was on the bench yesterday maybe Jake will give us an early Christmas present .

I just don't get why you are so stirred up about Reeves.

Its not like he would have single handedly stopped us getting relegated nor will he single handedly get us promoted.

I doubt we have missed him at all based on what I saw of him prior to his injury.

 

But now some are making out he's the second coming.

He's not even that good.

 

bet with your attention span you can't even remember seeing him play. don't bother giving the lad a chance ford - he's only come through something you've clearly never experienced (or you might have a bit more empathy)

I remember him being a busy "Mr pass it safe" player.

Not many injuries last 20 months and as I say I wish him the best.

 

The radio actually said he’s been out 22 months not 20.

 

Please explain why you are so stressed about him not playing for 20 months.

 

As none of us know what he has been really going through, all we can do is welcome him back into the squad...and support him to the max vocally when he pulls on the shirt.
