Individually, some of the players might have looked ok, but there were quite a number of inexperienced back up players too. Just look at our matchday bench for clarification. We were bringing players in when we still had no proper manager/coach in place, we then got a massively under qualified coach/es in and had an absolute farce of a pre season. The coach with less experience than our previous season, player of the year, who incidently moved on, was expected to mould these players into something resembling a good league one side - championship in three yrs wasn't it??

Just having an on paper decent 11 does not automatically equate to success, and certainly the calamity upon calamity of pre season can not have helped in any way. I also think there are too many just not good enough and there is zero competition for places to push our players. There was no direction or plan and that is reflected on the pitch, the bad start is just getting compounded, there looks to be zero confidence in that team, no leaders bar perhaps the keeper.

I agree with several posts above - we need to go back to defending and trying to nab a point here and there, or maybe ride our luck a bit like in the win at wimbledon etc. Can't see where another win is coming from though with fixtures getting even tougher, we might be capable of a point though here and there, heady days to follow City indeed.

Going round in circles a bit it seems. What can Hopkin do to arrest the slide between now and Jan.Well he needs to be lucky admittedly, but picking up 3 or 4 OOC's aka JoB, to add steel to our back line and more creativity in midfield would be a start. Short term see how they go.Even more than ever now as the injuries and cards mount.

So buying good proven players who most fans thought were great buys is a failing in the board and not in the players and manager?

The bench is made to look worse by the injuries though which is something no club can protect against. A team of experienced players and a full bench could be selected fairly easiely if everyone was fit. The level of injuries, suspensions and the likes are probably a little on the high side that no club at this level could 'cope'. United last night had to draft in Tahith Chong as 7 first team players are injured.

As you said it’s not a problem with the quality of players available, it’s a combination of either players lacking motivation or not working as a team which are both areas where a good manager earns their wage. Hopkin needs to motivate them better and just simplify instructions, it seems at times the players are too in their own head trying to implement the way Hopkin wants them to play which is something I've had to watch at United under Jose. As keeps being shown when Jose lets players off the leash to play in a nature way they play better rather and it seems the same problem Hopkin has. Some players can adapt with ease but most it takes lots of work (especially lower down the leagues where the technique is lower) and it’s not something you really want to be doing during the season especially when the teams struggling.

It doesn't matter if he's there in person or not. There's no way of organising it without getting the word out publically and getting as many involved as possible. What matters is getting as much publicity as possible that the vast majority of fans are massively dissatisfied with what's going on. Despite what he said in the BCST meeting, he knows that it isn't just a vocal minority any longer.

is there any OOC players that are good enough, and realistically going to play for us?

we might have missed the boat here. even if there is they could be really out of shape by now.

Maybe but anyone looking to buy them would want to do so before it reaches that stage as they would hope to turn it around. And even if they get relegated it’s better buying the club for millions without getting it cheap after administration as limiting the time in league 2 is easier when you don’t have a points penalty. It’s much easier to bounce back u right away than it is if take multiple years. And if the point penalty causes multiple relegations that’s going to be really killer

Well we do need to decide if we want the owners their or not. I have no preference either way, you are right we do need as much media coverage as possible.

Interesting facts too... no more Hendrie columns in the T&A? And why no comment from Lawn about any of this. He would normally never shut up..... on any opinion. Just a few thoughts.

Unless they would agree to a 2 month deal I'm not sure it would be the right move. It potentially eats into funds to bring in 'ideal' players for a stop gap that ends up being an expensive surplus at the end of jan

I admire you faith thinking we have enough returning players to turn this ship around. Can't see it myself. Reeves might bring something to the table as well as Jim O'Brien, but it's asking a hell of a lot. That performance on saturday from where I was sitting was extremely poor ageinst a poor Dale side. That's the barometer - we never looked like beating one of the worst sides, and i'm convinced it'd be the same story versus Argyle, and well, we'll find out against another struggling side on saturday at Gillingham. Hopefully we can get something. We couldn't even put a team out to beat Macclesfield earlier in the season.

The harsh reality is that it’s not inconceivable.
No, or much decreased, match day income. Vastly reduced season ticket sales, knock on affect of reduced sponsorship. It will soon become difficult to run profitably - even more so if we don’t somehow turn this season around and end up relegated.
There is real danger of this and we can’t bury our heads in the sand.

    Flamingo land will take over.

because he will be left with a bill to demolish the stadium as Campion FC wont be able to afford the rent
