That really pisses me of @Jay@Jay
Rahic and Rupp take loans out to buy the club and then use the clubs money to repay the loans, the barstewards are using THE SUPPORTERS MONEY to pay their fecking loans off, makes my blood boil that does.

so what will end up happening is, theyll own an asset worth £4-5mil. for a cost of £1.2mil ... but there getting that back

rupp put 1mil down, rahic 200k

then cost cutting and the plan was too develop develop players and resell them etc..

    Of course I am.

@Gardscoigne@Gardscoigne has answered your condescending response adequately.

However, I will add to this. Mr Rahic made it clear during his discussion with BCST that costs associated with running the football club had increased. We also have confirmation via WOAP that we are not running an u23 side as a cost saving exercise. I am sure that the flow of cash into the club over the season will significantly down on projections because of our appalling start to the season. Season ticket income next season will be down dramatically.

This is a business which is spiralling down at the moment. It could well get to a point in the next year where we run out of cash from income to meet commitments.

Whilst we don't have the debts that drove us to administration previously, the opaque nature of our finances and how the club was purchased gives me cause for concern.

We might well be in a relegation scrap for the rest of the season and there is a high probability of being relagated come May. But why will we be in Administration before the end of the season? Who might place us in Administration? The current owners? New owners?

Agree, I doubt Rupp would condone or support such an act. That is not to say it's NOT impossible. Do we know the extent of either Chairmans obligations and responsibilities ? How liable (financially) would they be ?

Whats condescending about it? Your mention a business spiralling, i see a football team spiralling. Until i see concrete evidence the club is "skint" i won't comment...thats all.
When it comes down to football its all there to see, i'm not blind.

Your opening comment was "do I read what I am typing?". That was condescending.

Fine, we have different views and outlooks, that is what contributes to a forum. I respect that.

It was done before. Geoffrey Richmond borrowed a £1 million to purchase city, and he payed it back out of income from Bradford City within two years. The art is getting a bank to lend you that amount. What we need is an investor who will get nvest in our club and wait for that investment to come good. It might take a few years until we have wiped out the £2 million losses over the years.

It's not going to happen anytime soon. The club has enough cash to keep afloat for at least one season in league 2 and if they most likely could sort things out if they were going to get stuck there. The bigger problem would be if they ended up in the national league.

ofc the owners could decide to cut their losses and put it in administration as it may be the cheapest option

I don't disagree with your comments. On the other hand you personally do know we have meetings with Edin privately. We do indeed give our opinions relating to how he is viewed by some supporters and why. However if we started berating him publicly how long do you think that access would last ? We consider we can do better from the inside than from the outside. Our opinion of course and others may disagree with our stance.

Exactly what James Mason said, but it eventually got so bad he had to leave, but good luck.

Have you reviewed your input? Has there been any change as a result of your advice? For me that is extremely important because without meaningful change what is the point? I do get that it sometimes it can be useful, however there has been no change, he is still blaming the fans, electricity and water bills. We hear about our promising young players? No real sign of them, however you need a really good coach, no sign of that either, plus you need to get them playing competitively to bring them on, nope we can’t do that either, yet another costs cutting exercise.

If you continue to see him privately to try effect change, only no change is happening Bingley Bantam members might wonder what you are doing there. When we started BB it was made very clear that it was a supporters club. I think it might be time to review the policy of seeing him. Obviously that is just my view.

Shouldn't be allowed @Onside@Onside. Why should the club/supporters pay their loan off, plus Rahic is taking a big salary as well on top of that.

I totally agree, I think it is disgusting practice, but apparently it is legal.

This pov always annoys me. It's something that always comes up amongst United fans and it just shows a complete and utter lack of understanding. If you use your own money you need a return so money is going out of the club anyway and the thing is rich people generally don't have lots of cash on hand. Almost all their riches are tied up in investments. They would have to cash investments in and more often than not the return your investments get is greater than the interest of a loan. This means it makes more financial sense to take out a loan rather than cash in an investment as the money taken out of the business to service the loan is less than would have to be taken out to give a return equal to the investment that was cashed in.

Unless you have owners who just want a plaything and don't care about losing money its better for everyone for them to buy via loans as its cheaper for the club

And you know this how??? Who are you? How could you possibly know the terms of the takeover deal and how much Edin is paying himself?

Those kinds of investments don't happen. The amount of money you have to put in to get a club to a level where they have any chance to make a long-term return is so immense you are unlikely to make it back in your lifetime. Look ay how much Chelsea and Man City have had to invest and they had a much smaller leap to make to reach that 'profitable' zone and they are nowhere near making their money back. Abramovich is owed £1.17bn by Chelsea for example which would mean they would have to give him all their revenues for 2 years just to pay him off and seeing as they make a loss every year they can't do that

Not long, you just have to look at Man Utd. The main supporters (MUST) group were so publically negative and also so openly hostile in behind closed doors meetings that the Glazers quickly thought to sod this and have basically not spoken to any supporters group since. As you say its a balancing act, if you can't have a dialogue you can't have any input

I would imagine HMRC are one creditor who would ask for a winding up order if they’re not paid on time, they’re not that tolerant of football clubs. By the way before anyone jumps on me I’ve no evidence that HMRC are not being paid, it’s hypothetical.
