When good players look around and see young kids with little experience, or players like NKP who can't trap wind or pass in a straight line, they're not going to blame the manager. They're going to ask why the recruitment team including the owner, haven't brought in the required quality needed to get to up the table. Parky's early sides were weren't blessed with talent but they had heart and basic skill. We've got players with no experience, no heart, no conscience and no skill. That's not the coaches fault, that claim to failure lays squarely at the door of Edin and the man who gave him the list, Greg Abbot.

Hopkin tries to play a passing game, like last night, and we're so open and defensively poor. He tries to keep it tight and play more direct and the ball comes back as no target man.

The players can't do what he needs them to do. Either way he's f00ked.

With Rahic away can decisions be made, because decisive action has to be taken now. OOC's, backroom staff, can't continue as we are until January. DH, at the very least, has to be ruthless.

I think I’d forget about attacking for now and concentrate on not getting beat. 4-5-1 until January when hopefully, Hopkin can bring in at least 6 solid professionals and ship off or ship back some of the dross in the squad right now.

Yep, that's what I'd do now, try and eek out some draws, normally I always say fortune favours the brave but it's pointless any team from this squad taking the game to the oppo.

Protests? Same old Bradford apathy, can't do this, can't do that, so just stop going, an empty VP doesn't cost £700 and would have a bigger impact.

People saying we need 6/7 quality players in January are in dream land, there's no way ER will add to the wages as we head into the oblivion. We will also struggle to attract the players good enough required to turn it around, so in other words were fkd basically.
Very sad days as on top of this long term fans like myself have stopped giving 2 fks.

I've been to VP once this season despite having a ST which says it all really as its been unheard of from me even in previous dark days.

Bradford fans aren't capable of protests like other clubs. full of apathy, let someone else do it, accept mediocrity because at least we've got a club to support.

it needs to happen - march to the ground with banners etc, demonstration outside the main entrance - but it won't happen. we might raise enough for the plane, though.

Apologies Bingley Bantams have raised great amounts for charity over the last 18 months & I applaud your work. However I can’t understand how you can stand by and be supportive of the owners who are clearly killing our club. The impression of your group with the wider fan base have is that you are only interested in a seat at Edin’s table at events. If you carry on this path Edin will use you & the Trust as a way to justify his actions.

There will always be different options in football, but the future of the club is in the balance & your organisation is viewed as helping those who are destroying it.

Yeah, I have just read the WOAP article and within the comments section one fan, replying to the article has commented the following:

John on October 23, 2018 at 10:45 pm

Two points from tonight, firstly as a team we have got used to losing, as fans we are also becoming used to it, as we left tonight having stopped until the end, we thought that wasn’t too bad really until we remembered we hadn’t seen a home league win yet, last one we were in holiday in August. Secondly there are too many signs that cash flow is running out. Executive Box holders are being asked to pay any outstanding balances for this season, every other year this has been around January/February for the third payment.

Now, maybe I'm putting two and two together and getting the wrong result. Are the club financially up the creek ( or heading that way) as Edin stated himself, we would lose £700k last season or is he just being asking for settlement of outstanding balances?

Interestingly, Jon Dewhirst replied ( maybe knows sod all like me?) with his own reply:

johndewhirst on October 24, 2018 at 5:16 am

Your comment about cash is pertinent and confirms little prospect of investment in the squad by our current owners in January. Relegation is certain and we can expect further embarrassment to come. But hopefully the end of this chapter is in sight and there will be a new beginning.

Dangling the carrot at the end? But the admin issue seems a concern...

So do you really believe that if the board go that suddenly the players will start playing at the level they have shown in the past that they can play at? If you do you are letting your hatred for Edin blinker you. There may be issues how the Edin and co are running the business side but the performances on the pitch are the players and managers fault exclusively. The players are way better than they are showing as people on here in their heart know because people were largely positive about the signings when they were made but accepting that its the players/manager that is failing when it comes to results doesn't fit the narrative you want.

If players were concerned about how clubs were being run 90% of clubs in England would never have any players and if they did have players they would all be playing well below their level which isn't what happens. If players are getting paid they don't care and they get paid if they play at their actual level or not. Really that thing that Edin brought up about how in Germany players wages are 50% bonus based is perhaps what Bradford need right now, maybe they would actually start playing at their true level as they are all better than they are showing. They need something to motivate them which seems to be something Hopkins is failing at as they seem to be getting worse by the week

You never know ........ We may do sufficient 1 out, 1 in deals to cover costs. As for skill, and good enough ? Just give me 5 hard, no schitt B4st4rds in defence, who, when together can get clean sheet after clean sheet !
NOT ideal, I know ......... But a damn good start, IMO. ;)
We can then address trying to score an odd goal on the break, or a penalty. Hopefully, post Dec 31st, a dozen 1 - 0 Wins should help us to safety (added to any current points tally ) :).

Would a potential buyer now sit back and wait for admin? If I remember rightly, Gibb paid £1 (and taking on the club's debt, obviously). Relegation is looking a certainty, ST sales will be down dramatically. It can't get much worse. Starting L2 with a points deduction would just be collateral damage. Who's going to pay 3/4 million plus for this?
