TBF, both Stubbs & Gilly were woefully out of position for their goal

This is the problem of premier league training these days - they are taught that if there is even a 1% risk of losing the ball then they stop, turn around and pass backwards or sideways. It's a crying shame. Even premier league sides are buying wingers from overseas because there as so few English ones who are taught that taking a risk is good. It's just boring repetitive football at the top these days. Wright is going to find it very hard to shake it off.

 

We haven't played enough, they came on and got caught out cold. I'm still worried that we'll get to MK and be hanging on and knackered come the last 10/15 mins because they aren't conditioned to playing 90 mins.

 

Mundle in on loan for the season, in exchange for the kind use of our ground on Saturday!

It was funny listening to the Sunderland match commentary last night though, it seemed every Bradford City player had been at Boro in some capacity...."Smallwood, came through the Boro academy.......oh there's Kavanagh, he was also in their youth setup...oh my there's Halliday, he was another..."

cant say I agree with you on Halliday he was up against a very good young player perfect preperation for the season. Thought he stuck to the task very well

 

Pattison looking like a beast again, very important to keep him fit this season

 

Ought to mention Walker in goal he was great last night

Will make a massive impact if he plays the majority of games.

 

Unlike other seasons we don't have numerous new signings to bed in, etc. Friendlies are more to get match fit it seems this year.

Oh dear...

In the sense of the first 11 haven't played that much together because we spent the first few games with mixed up teams playing 45 or y0 minutes. GA said "dont read too much into the teams". Have a think for a minute.
