    Does anyone know when we announce our plans for preseason friendlies / tours. I’m hoping the club is going to do something similar to last year in Spain, I didn’t get a chance to go but it looked good fun. Cheers

    Quite a few teams already booked in to the pinatar complex already so we have may have missed the boat there. Stockport are playing derby there in late July

    2017 was the last time City went to Austria. Doyle and Gilliead were there then as was Wyke, who has liked Walker's Instagram post today about extending his stay at city.

    It was a terrible trip there for the squad last year. Far too hot to do anything meaningful and the friendly at the end of the week was a farce and a waste of time.

    Looking forward to finding out when and where the preseason games are, as we are coming back to the UK for July and the first half of August. Unfortunately will miss the start of the season proper, but would love to be able to get to game, even if it is preseason.

    I've seen Italy mentioned a couple of times as a possible destination, but not sure if this is just speculative rumour as usual

    Bradford City AFC’s 2024/25 pre-season schedule is as follows:

    - Chorley (A) - Victory Park - Saturday July 6 - 3.00pm

    - Scunthorpe United (A) - Glanford Park - Saturday July 13 - 3.00pm

    - Austria tour - Obertraun resort - Friday July 19-Thursday July 25

    - Austria friendly (A) - local opponent, venue and kick-off time TBC - Wednesday July 24

    - Sunderland (H) - University of Bradford Stadium - Tuesday July 30 - 7.30pm

    - Altrincham (A) - J. Davison Stadium - Saturday August 3 - 3.00pm

    The club will confirm details of the pre-season friendly fixture in Austria in due course, while ticket details for each game - including the visit of Sunderland on Tuesday July 30 - will be announced as soon as possible.

    This pre-season schedule sums up the bad state of non-league football in Yorkshire, only 2 sides left in the top 2 divisions in York and Farsley. The rest are now only at a standard for our u19s. Looks like to took advantage of the National League North play offs to try and get a National League club with the 3 of the 4 play off semi final teams.

    The 2 behind closed doors training ground games I'd image will be against Championship or League 1 teams, possibly even someone like Huddersfield.

    Altrincham on 3rd August will be a cracking day out.

    Some great pubs and beers in the centre of town.

    Also got Dunham Massey for a nice bit of countryside 10 minutes away.

    Austria very tempting, as long as the club don’t try shaft us like they did last year with the kadima farce! Think me and the lad may well go to this, as it’s his birthday on the 20th we could use it as an excuse lol

    Pretty sure someone on here or Twitter will be working out an itinerary for flights etc as we speak :D
