    I might be wrong but I interpreted his announcement differently. I thought he meant that they wouldn't announce any changes until after Christmas, not that there wouldn't be any changes after Christmas

    2. These games can now re rescheduled for after the 'proud custodian of our club' has shown his mettle and sanctioned an ambitious recruitment plan in January. Right.....?

    Haha the news channels can't get enough of this shit. They have BBC news on in the gym but with no sound and it is literally wall to wall fear mongering. I'd advise anyone, for their own wellbeing, to turn off any news channel, infact turn off the TV full stop. By all means get your jabs and wear your masks if that's what floats your boat, but after that stop listening to the shite they keep spreading.

    As I said before I think the rules are 14 players including a gk. That is the only requirement for a game to take place. It is the number of available players as far as I know, the reason for missing whether Covid or injury is not relevant.

    Or it could be as simple, that members of Walsall /Bradford have a virus which has the potential to kill, especially the vulnerable and elderly. It's a bloody game, that's all.

    Wish I’d have turned all news channels off last March. They’ve polluted my brain with fake news for almost 2 years to the point I’m now starting to believe it. Covid is no worse than a common cold for 99% of the population but yet now they want to vaccinate our 5 year olds ffs.
    The NHS is crippled not because of sick people in beds but because staff are forced to isolate when there’s no need to be.

    I think the Gerard comment is a bit odd. A high profile manager not present on the sidelines might get noticed. Whereas as a missing players could be down to anything, form, tactics, injury, COVID. When a team plays in that weird Premteam reserves thing, how many people were demanding COVID reports when 8 or so regular players didn’t appear?

    The flip side to your request to publicly name players is that our next opponent gets plenty of advance notice and can plan accordingly. Doesn't bother me at all not knowing who has Covid.

    @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler - just seen that Leeds have stated that they have postponed their game at Liverpool due to a combination of COVID and injuries leaving them short. Shame, was looking forward to Mo and Sadio filling their boots.

    There's definitely a narrative being run through the main stream media. And it ain't just about keeping us lovely folk safe. Quite why anyone would need to know how many people have died or in hospital every bloody day other than those directly involved with caring for the ill is completely beyond me. Ghouls man.

    I don’t think any club would turn down the Boxing Day home game and the money that comes with it and risk getting caught misleading the FL. That would presumably be a fine or points deduction for bringing the game into disrepute or something.

    Who was it who suggested the Carlisle and Harrogate postponements were a cunning plan so we could do the Jan window recruiting and play with a stronger team? Well, at this rate we'll get the summer window done before we play again.

    There are only three games left on (at the moment)!

    On the 29th in addition to the City match, the Forest Green Rovers v Exeter City game has been called off.

    Seems a bit rich to single out City (and spawn of hell). Are you going to make similar accusations about all the other clubs?

    Are you suggesting some are being less than truthful? That they don’t have the requisite number of players suffering from Covid?
