    Hopefully but perhaps unlikely. Unless the rules have changed in the last few days you have to have a minimum of 14 including a gk to play but PL managers meeting today and think they want a pause.

    The players affected for the Carlisle game have surely recovered.
    Are the club suggesting that we now have further cases?
    Announcement from Boris that there will be no further restrictions after Xmas so no risk of playing with no fans in stadium.

    I am very surprised that half the League Two fixtures on Boxing Day are still on. I would assume that more would be called off.

    I might be wrong but I interpreted his announcement differently. I thought he meant that they wouldn't announce any changes until after Christmas, not that there wouldn't be any changes after Christmas

    It’s beyond a joke now, if Bradford city are using every trick in the book to get games called off until New Year then shame on them.
    I see the Leeds V Liverpool game is also postponed, I wonder why? Because the Leeds squad has Covid or because they have injury problems? I suspect the latter is true.

    Who was it who suggested the Carlisle and Harrogate postponements were a cunning plan so we could do the Jan window recruiting and play with a stronger team? Well, at this rate we'll get the summer window done before we play again.

    Probably me, I’m 100% certain that Bradford City are using this to their advantage and nobody will change my opinion whilst we are kept in the dark on which players supposedly have Covid.
    With regards to all the other games that are getting called off, I highly doubt that so many clubs across England have enough Covid cases to force postponements according to EFL / EPL criteria.
    Just tell people the truth that this is some back handed sinister way of getting a Winter break.

    As I said before I think the rules are 14 players including a gk. That is the only requirement for a game to take place. It is the number of available players as far as I know, the reason for missing whether Covid or injury is not relevant.

    Or it could be as simple, that members of Walsall /Bradford have a virus which has the potential to kill, especially the vulnerable and elderly. It's a bloody game, that's all.

    Sometimes things are just black and white.

    @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler - just seen that Leeds have stated that they have postponed their game at Liverpool due to a combination of COVID and injuries leaving them short. Shame, was looking forward to Mo and Sadio filling their boots.
