Well, the outcome rests squarely on the shoulders of Stefan and Julian now.If they don't discharge their duties effectively, we could be gone.

 

Tongue in cheek of course..Perhaps a way out would be to entice a credible central defender in as player manager.

We all know why we are in such a mess, but we wil eventually bounce back. A new manager might give us hope, a big call on who this will be.

However, it disappoints me that some fans have given up on the club altogeher and have us condemned to non league football. Its bad enough some of our players appear to have given up the fight, without fans doing the same.

 

We are breaking new ground and we look like miners!

Our "best" players are loans,our CEO is a loan,the only permanents
are the fans and a lot are looking to go on compassionate leave.

Everything thats happening, along with poor results and performances
Is steering us to even worse scenarios.

O'Connor's actions are having a vitriolic response from fans and no doubt
other players reactions may cause further division within the squad and
that will likely mean no improvement on the pitch.

Somehow,we may have to learn how to bite our tongues and ring our hands
in the short term because the feelings we are getting and reacting to are causing
more and more friction.

Who knows what the new manager will think but we are advertising our predicament
for all to see and that can only be good for our relegation rivals.

The players have to stop trying to placate the fans with meaningless words,they need
to perform on the pitch with some pride for the shirt they are privileged to wear.

 

In parts I agree but would add that ,as fans we hold inherent passions as we follow our Club.Yes there is always the need for reflection , but it rankers when the team we follow with such feeling on the terraces, seems bereft of passion in their performances on the pitch.For me wherever I may be,Bradford City AFC is my team for life for better or worse.

 

The team need to play for each, forget about everything going on, get together as a group, decide what they want, and then stick together like glue, and get the job done. The fans will come round when we start to play like we are in a relegation battle, fight for every ball, cover for each other, don’t leave it for your team mate, they may need help.

I am most certainly in the queue for compassionate leave; I also think you are right, this constantly getting angry without a break is exhausting. I just might give myself a toxic break from this forum and Twitter.

 

The right manager is essential to teach the players how to play,
instill belief and stop the rot even if we go down as rebuilding
to come back will be vital.

Who conceded the penalty at Portsmouth? According to Simon Parker it was a wrestle between O'Connor and Clarke whilst the Portsmouth reporter says Hawkins was forced to the ground by Knight Percival.

Just shows you can never trust a journalist to get everything correct.

 

You couldn't see from the away end and it didn't look like any of their players ended up on the floor. O'Connor was protesting the most so just presumed it was him.

 

It looks like NKP, but a soft pen in my view. 6 of 1 half a dozen of the other, but it always happens when you are in the doldrums, you do not get the rub.
