They saw the footage of him throwing it away, yet didn’t ask! Bottled it!!

 

I was listening to Pulse Sport and Jason defiantly put the point to Drury, now we can only take the guy at his word that he didn't see the removal of the armband.

 

Had £10 on City to win and both teams to score at 14/1 today. It's near misses like this that keep me gambling.

 

The sooner we get rid of Martin Drury and the Blockheads, the better. Massive clear out required foe next season.

So who out of the mediocre names linked with the job would you put forward as better qualified and more experienced for the next 11 games and next season in League 2 ? If he rubs the fans up the wrong way so what ? If he makes us nasty enough to batter a way out of League 2 ?

 

I'm not sure who ever gets the job could make this lot into a team that's nasty, looking at several of our players were not capable of being nasty IMO. I'm sure the idea will be to offer the next manager till the end of the season, he could be a miracle worker and keep us in league one (no I'm not taking drugs of intoxicated) but for me the next manager has to be looking at not merely what he can achieve this season but who will be going and who he might like to keep to build a promotion winning team from.

 

It’s not nastiness that’s required it’s togetherness you don’t have to be nasty to be a motivator. Look at how Manchester United have improved under a guy who couldn’t be farther away from nasty

 

Precisely ! I'm not suggesting that someone can suddenly turn this weak ensemble into a "nasty fighting machine" but that's what's needed in League 2 where basically it's no better than National League football so you need players who know how to kick their way out - we need to be looking at National League level recruits and maybe some wily old hands? Evans knows that level and whilst ideally I want Pep as our Manager realistically I can't see that ? Nor would he be any use to us in the Pits where we are bound for ! So whilst I'd never have advocated for Evans a dose of winning ugly is what we need !

 

I agree we could do with two or three “Nasty” players who can put it about but we need a manager who can get into players and get the best out of them. And at the moment we need someone who can make a team with no width no pace no strength and no height effective in other words a tactical genius

I'm wondering how deep we need to dig to totally rid ourselves of this negativity and gloom.

Mr I know football has gone but it feels like he still has an influence on the team and the club.

Another new manager in and a team who just talk about being positive but are incapable of
demonstrating it on the pitch.

Maybe we should employ a psychologist first to find out what the hell is wrong with the players!
