this is why i like your posts bronco.. in terms of being privy to any information, i know two people who work in player representation and that’s as far as i know about what goes on behind the scenes at the club. in terms of occupation, i do have a background in sports injury management and healthcare and have friends that work(ed) in the medical departments at bury and chesterfield. i could even go into one of the main points of what they said was mentioned during every teamtalk that they were involved in during matches at VP - and it wasn’t complimentary to the fans.

 

I'm glad you like my posts I try not to offend BUT I dont undestand the highlighted comment.

 

here’s the thing..

1. i don’t believe you can run an academy and a development squad and we need to choose one or the other. as a lower league club we can’t have both. other clubs recognise this and have got rid of their academy to focus on development, some pump their money into an academy and sell players at a young age. hence why i started the discussion on the topic a couple of days ago.

2. i don’t actually care what you or other posters think of what i have to say but i do wonder why you jump on evey post i make or someone makes in reference to me.

 

No man is an island and sooner or later Rahic has to listen to those around him in order to stem the acrimony arising from his ineptitudes. Oddly enough there is a parallel with Gibb, in that he was critical of the business methods employed by then Chairman Rhodes and that was a major concern for him. Similarly, Rahic felt likewise and dismantled the structures he inherited as 'too pally'. At the end of the day, finance and football are different identities and require specialist management. This aspect Rahic appears not to have grasped..what it does say about his tenure, is that since employing the Coach method, he has overseen his own poor judgement and inexperience leading directly to our unacceptable position.I am not sure if he can manage January appropriately to stabilise us football wise. We seem disjointed within the Club and certainly lacking expertise in priority areas. He must invest in a proven business structure and make the quality appointments necessary to pull things round. If he can't relinquish total control then he needs to consider his own position for the good of our Club.

 

I agree, it's getting tedious to be honest.

Despite how many times you write the facts out some people still think 'get behind the lads ffs' as if because we chant a bit more they will turn into world beaters. Let's just say that the players and chairmen have got off lightly so far given the displays and the results in 2018...

 

ok. so talking to a friend who worked at one of those clubs and they said every time they came to VP the visiting managers would criticise the VP crowd saying that if they could keep us quiet and limit our chances, stop us from playing the crowd would turn, become hostile and make their jobs easier.

 

At the moment we aren’t doing either. I have seen no notice that any of our young players are playing competitive football. But for the record, which ever we choose, we need extra funding so that we can complete as Bradford City AFC.

Don't disagree, but remember how many players have joined us to play in front of large crowds at VP...then couldn't hack it, whereas it inspired our opponents.

 

agreed. plus there was the chap, can’t remember his name who turned us down 2 or 3 years ago to go to doncaster because he apparently said he couldn’t play infront of such expectant crowds.

Not sure I agree. How many times has the crowd had a go at the players over the years? We are noisy and sing loudly, but in the past we have been more likely to do that if the team are struggling. Only recently we have been quiet, and yesterday vented the anger appropriately in my view towards the owner.

And you belive that ?, I gave you more credit than to even think the fans have given anything but great vocal support to the team.
I was not there yesterday but after another very poor performance the crowd lost patience and started chanting Edin out and maybe giving the players something to think about, but it was the first time this season, to say how our performances generally have gone this season they have done very well not getting slated more.

Yes I appologise I've has a few, p***k maybe more apt, if I'd been the main financial contributer to buying a football club and the clown I thought knew football knows sweet FA about running one deserves the odd derogatory comment.

 

Wow. Sorry, I must have forgot all the great atmosphere we have created over the last few years at home - oh sorry until ER decided on his model and crowds fell and results were shite....

I think teams said that a while ago before PP came in and got the ground rocking because he had players who actually busted a gut for the cause and the fans loved the players...but seeing somebody like Josh Wright swanning around as if he was Beckham without actually influencing the game...

To be honest I think the crowds have been pretty good given the crap we have had in 2018 - you do realise that we are actually at the bottom of the PL & EFL in 2018? But I'm sure you know better as always...

 

Kind of up for sale.

The owners said they would sell. But they said that locally, and I don't know if they touted it around or not.

This time, it would very definitely be FOR SALE and finding a buyer would be a much more active exercise.

You were never going to get a consortium going during the Rhodes and Lawn era, but now, needs must.

It wasn't so pressing back then.

 

I'm just glad you aren't managing my sporting injury. My leg could be hanging off and you'd diagnose it as a light sprain and I'd be fine after a bit of massage and some jogging!
