By people putting in efficient governance that leaves others within a club with the expertise gey on with work, not let personality clashes get in the way and listening to opinions to make informed decisions which can lead to success and generate an increase in income.

The point is this, if you invest in a club ie season tickets, sponsors, and then that business fails through mismanagement do you carry on investing in that c.ub? Do you insist on a much better service with timescales? Do you invest in another activity altogether? Looking at it simplistically, with my head, what is the point? I am not being entertained, heartache every week.

I have every sympathy for you. Two of our group of 6 who are longtime City supporters no longer go to games. One didn't renew his season ticket and the other tried to get his money refunded but failed miserably. What they did wasn't universally welcomed on here by some. As we know there were many thousands who chose not to renew for the current season and judging from the sparsity of the crowd at home games, there are many more voting with their feet or being selective in which games they attend. And I don't blame them.

You said earlier that fans do have power. 40% of the club's income comes from home ticket sales. And there's more in terms of merchandising. The time to exercise that power isn't now but probably in around 5 or 6 months when next season's ticket go on sale. Who knows where we'll be in table at the point but it's an opportunity for all supporters to flex our financial muscles in a way which would be felt by the owners.

Absolutely. Next Feb/March will be very interesting. I'm sure many will think twice, with league 2 football on the horizon.

I think I can cope with league 2, but under no circumstances with our current owners.

And if this crazily rapid demise of our Club continues I doubt we'd be competitive; even in D4.

It's horrible to think of that situation but I'd have to make that decision too. It's not the League 2 season that would put me off renewing it's the people in charge.

Tricky one Dennis, in 5 or 6 months we’ll be relegated and planning for League 2. I’d like Rahic to the have message that things need to change long before Easter.

Did they actually put money in? Yes they Purchased the club, but unless l have missed something, they have not actually made any additional funds available and Rupp and his wife are taking a salary.

I have not seen any evidence to suggest they have put any additional funds into the club over and above the purchase price (which went to the previous owners not the club).

I fully agree. Me and my dad have held season tickets since 97/98 (he has a 25 yr ticket). We stuck with it through league 2 before but I really don't have any appetite to do it again under the current ownership. I think the owners may be surprised just how much support will drop off should we get relegated (maybe even if we don't). The main reason I go now is because I wouldn't see my dad much otherwise.

Its a big shame because I have a 4 year old son and may have got him a ticket next season so the club may not only lose current supporters but future ones too.

It is a tricky one. There have already been several messages to the owners if they chose to listen. They lost 3-4,000 STs; there are many more empty seats at VP beyond that reduction; questions have been asked of them by FoBC and now the Supporters Trust and social media and fanzines have been less than supportive! Briefing of newspapers at home and in Germany by a certain ex employee appear designed to create an impact. And yet little has really changed. Protests by fans have been non-existent, the occasional Edin Out chants last for a couple of bars and peter out and despite the empty seats at VP there hasn't been any mass non-attendance. It might be that some future properly organised protests or banner waving or billboard advertising might have some extra impact but I'm less than hopeful. Rahic in particular doesn't strike me as somebody who is overly concerned with all of this. He believes in what he is doing and his arrogance seems to prevent him from changing tack.

Which leaves very few options other than doing things which undermine the basic financial integrity of the business .. reducing its income base! Or if you like doing something which will really hurt Rupp and not just Rahic. Rupp might well be a better target than Rahic because he has more to lose.

A very good point. My main annoyance with the way the the club is being run at the moment is the disconnect being created amongst the supporters and the club, especially the dyed in the wool fans. It felt like we had started to make inroads in to what has always been a pretty apathetic support amongst the Bradford public, almost like the club was at last heading in a direction that would encourage the next generation of fans to really start to love their club like other big cities seem to do. I don't really want to go back to that feeling of lower league tinpot club, farting about in the lower reaches of league 2. It has no appeal to me whatsoever and from talking and listening to other long standing fans it doesn't interest them either, and neither does sitting in a 25,000 seater stadium with 7,000 'true diehard fans' who deride the plastics for having temerity to jump ship. Bradford is a sinking shithole of a city, i'll be damned if I stand by and watch Rahic send my club the same way.

I guess on the basis of personal wealth, then pro rate Rahic has more to lose, as most of his individual money will have gone into this project, whereas For Rupp this is far less a percentage of his private wealth.

It's Friday night and I used to be up for Saturday's game but now that feeling seems long ago and has been replaced by an apathy I dislike.
I'm going tomorrow and Tuesday but just can't bond with any of this current squad like I used to.
Hopkins work ethic is perhaps the only sane glimmer of hope in an upturn in fortunes.
Can he rescue our club single handedly,
I very much doubt it when those around him have gone AWOL .

Very good point. If the €100m personal wealth estimate of SR is correct then he has much less than 10% of his wealth invested. I have no idea how much wealth ER has but going off things that were said around the time of the takeover I suspect the vast majority of ER’s money not to mention his job now is tied up in BCAFC. If things were to go wrong it is no doubt a costly mistake for SR but it isn’t going to bankrupt him.

This squad are strangers, the club I no longer recognise, fans groups seem to have been taken in by Edin...somehow, we are basically sleep walking into the abiss and no one seems to care. Are we that apathic to the club? If and when we go down, I can’t see me going week in week out. I have been a season ticket holder since 1984, go with my brother & lad. I have a 25 yr ticket so will renewal 8n hope rather than necessity. My lad is 16, prefers away games and wants to get a weekend job, but has turned down jobs due to football. I can’t seem to justify why we go now he is older. It was easier then he was little.. More importantly for the city I have no reason to visit apart from driving through to get to work. All destroyed by one man’s ego...unless we start to make some noise folks.
