What division do you think we're in?
Do you know what year it is, and where you are?
No offence, buddy!

People only think teams like this will walk the league because they have large crowds.
That's your average gambler betting on factors that are irrelevant to real life - but even so, Sunderland have a top 6 side, and I think we probably have a top 7 side. Just. -
Yep agree with all of that, great summary. If a club want Doyle he can go for me. His job was to collect the ball in midfield and drive forwards, yea right. I have yet to see what he is actually good at. I thought both Donaldson and Vaughan looked shattered, we can’t have this, they worked their arses off going back and filling in for a very weak midfield. Palmer was the only one who performed well enough for me. I thought defensively we looked solid, including the infamous Mr. O’Connell.
I am sorry but we are desperate for another two midfielders, and another striker if we can. Every team are going to come with the mindset of Cambridge defend really well we get a point, if we are lucky we might get a goal, we as a team better get used to it, there are no givens.
Disappointed, but not entirely surprised. Gelling takes time.Inspector and WilsdenBantam like this. -

Defence looked better agreed, but City were up against a team struggling to stay up last year.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Chad and Bantamsteve like this. -
But to suggest the players didn’t apply themselves is nonsense. The set up wasn’t quite right today and some of the men in that XI probably aren’t the right men for us (looking at CM and Doyle in a front three) But our shortcomings weren’t down to a lack of desire as suggested earlier in this thread.Stoneski and Rogered Tart like this. -

The problem was evident for all to see. Anderson was ready to be subbed so we brought on Devine to try change the game and liven things up. He could barely get a kick last year and its been the same for years.
We look short of quality in CM but the budget was already stretched. Maybe, just maybe, now McBurnie has gone, we might be able to fund a decent loanee to improve us in the coming weeks though.Keefly Bantam and Bantamsteve like this. -
O’Connor was decent today but paudie will take his place once he’s fit, I’m sure of it.

Some fans expected us to steamroller Cambridge 3-0, just like they did when we drew with Macclesfield the year McCall took over when we were relegated into this division.
It didn’t happen today, it is frustrating, but this wasn’t half as bad as the shit shows last year.
The stats don’t lie. On xG we deserved to win the game. An another day Vaughan scores not hits the bar.

Frustrating thing is we're 2/3 players away from being a team who could've won 3-0 today. Desperate for a pacey striker, a left winger so creativity isn't left solely to scannell and a midfielder with energy and who can pass a ball. Hopefully Callum Cooke is still a target as he seems to be a bit of an all round midfielder.
Sounded like Anderson's injury may be a bad one which maybe the massive kick up the arse we need to sort the midfield out this week.borderlescott and Keefly Bantam like this. -

Hope you enjoyed your day in Sunny Bradford, and the locals looked after you -
Sorry I'm still a fan of 4-4-2 it does not have to be two wide men as someone posted the other day Parkinson played with the one wide man in Reid and Thompson out wide on the right but more as a right sided midfield player who could cross, Stuart the same Marshall your wide man and McMahon playing in a wide midfield birth.
certainly on today display we as a team have a lot to learn if Bowyer persist with 4-3-3.Lord Bobby and borderlescott like this. -

Bowyer did wait far too late for sub's though and the formation was poor. We looked more threatening as a 4-4-2
