The point is that it isn’t simply the last three games, four if you count Macc in the cup. It’s everything that seems to be going on at the club.
Many believe that Collins only has the job because no other bugger wanted it. He hardly had a great season with the U18’s last year. He didn’t apply for the job. A significant proportion of fans thought his appointment would end in tears.
Collins appears to me to be a rabbit in the headlights, trotting out cliches and unable to influence his players.
The same mistakes seem to be being made match after match.
The poor run from the start of the year isn’t showing any signs of stopping.
If people with football experience like McCall say they’re glad they left, or refused to take the job (Grayson) or walked away after being interviewed, who is wrong, them or Edin?
The preseason was a shambles. To deny this is impossible.
Established players, McArdle, Doyle, Meredith etc have left without being adequately replaced. Some have left after a public spat on Twitter.
Mason left his ‘dream job’ with ostensibly no other position to go to. Many believe him to have been forced out.
We have a poorly balanced squad lacking in depth and quality.
Whatever has or hasn’t allegedly happened with Robinson.
Whoever is advising Edin on German based players is clueless. Not one player has arrived that it League One standard.
I don’t think it’s the last three games that have fans worried, it’s the last 12-18 months that’s a worry. The positivity, the togetherness of the Parky era and McCall’s first season are gone. This is Edin’s club, his people, his squad, his culture. Almost everything Football related seems to have gone badly awry in 18 months. There doesn’t seem to be any body at the club who can stop the rot. I hope I’m wrong, but this malaise runs far far deeper than a three game losing run, few can have much confidence that there is the knowledge or experience within the club to drag us out of this.

You tell me what you'd like as an outcome, and maybe we can work something out to get there.
For me, I'd like a successful Bradford City side.
The best way to achieve that as a chairman, in my view, is to hire an excellent manager who has a long-term strategy, and back him to the hilt (I don't mean financially, necessarily, I mean support him and his decision making).
By getting everybody singing from the same hymn sheet, you have a solid chance of success, particularly if you are a quote-unquote 'big club' that can out-compete others in the transfer market and for big names. There is one crystal clear strategy conceived by one very talented individual working alongside people he trusts in an industry he is an expert in.
It's not a guarantee of success, but it's reasonable, and it's what happened with Lawn and Rhodes in charge and Phil Parkinson as manager.
There was little doubt who was making the key decisions in the transfer market, strategising, and even controlling media output (Parky was infamous for telling the radio broadcast teams what they could and couldn't ask, occasionally to the frustration of fans).
In order to do that, Rahic needs to behave more like Rhodes and Lawn - ie, a peripheral figure, even if occasionally outspoken. Yes, he'll ultimately sign off on deals or he won't, and yes, he'll still have final say, but no, he won't be running the club in the absence of a manager (forget the head coach crock of crap), organising piss poor preseason campaigns, or working alongside any ridiculous transfer committee (it's League One, too many cooks spoil the broth).
If Rahic is incapable of working in a 'hands off' fashion, he needs to either leave, or dramatically improve his input, because thus far, Rahic's performance has been utterly disastrous. He has been worse for this club than the whole Archie Christie/Peter Jackson rubbish, and we have only gone backwards under his stewardship. If he was 'employed', he'd have been sacked by now.
Basically, whatever it takes to silence Rahic and his gross ineptitude will only benefit this club. He doesn't have the first clue what he's doing.
Once Rahic is well and truly in the background, there will be hope. Until then, we're on a downward spiral. The man is useless.Disillusioned of Bingley, River_City_Bantam, City loyal and 10 others like this. -

Damn it Lawn and Rhodes you guys promised to sell this club to someone who could take it further not back.. dark times ahead

Parky - let him go
McCall - got rid of
Grayson- preferred unemployment
Mason - walked with no job lined up.
Common denominator are Rahic and Rupp.
The club is going nowhere under these two.
Rupp is as culpable as Rahic for not bringing him to account on the shambles Rahic has presided over.

The current regime would like everyone to pull together for the good of the club understandably but if your not happy with the appointment of a head coach as apposed to a traditional manager then it becomes hard to change your own Individual view no matter what.
Results and performances have been poor for some time not just the present ones.
Are the many tactical formation changes during a game really warranted.
I don't think so what ever happened to good old 4 4 2 and stick to it at least the playing personal would know their positions .
One chap asked me why do you bother if all you do is moan about your team?
I replied in two words" i care" -
heavensentcitygent we do not forgive we do not forget
The biggest fear I have is that the man seems that stubborn he could be around for a long time
-
Meanwhile the bloke he let go continues to thrive. That’s what happens when you let a manager who has experienced troubled times manage.

Given so many are complaining, I'm pretty sure he's trying to prove they're doing the wrong thing.

In the short term no benefit but think passed the end of the season
However when did the negativity start
How do we eradicate this negativity
What does the long term future hold for our club
A manager/ Head coach who has no control of the team or signings
Eleven seventeen year olds on the pitch running round on the pitch with one sole purpose to be sold and really not caring about our club
Unsustainable crowds of less than 8000 ST prices will have to increased to cover the shortfall
Becoming a feeder club
Am sure a few on here can add to the list
Not wishing to add to the negativity on here but things have gone sadly down hill since we lost the play off final and now we don't have the experience or caliber of personnel at the club to Halt the inevitable declineBronco, vladimir, broadsword and 3 others like this. -

I think you’re all missing the point about Lampard and Collins comparisons. Lampard will have the respect of the players and will be a figure of awe the career he has had. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure City players are already losing interest in Collins.

Someone who has seen how managers such as Mourinho, Ancellotti, Capello, etc, etc operate obviously has more experience to draw on than somebody who views Michael Appleton as their biggest managerial influence.
You're comparing somebody who has served an apprenticeship under several master craftsman with a guy who's done a BTEC in woodwork at Shipley College.
Over time it won't mean anything but in the short term one obviously gives more positive prospect of improvement than the other.HUDDERSSBANTAM, Chad, Mason Handshake and 3 others like this. -
