We read similar every week ........... Talk is cheap.
Sorry, but Collins should take the flak - He's doing sod all on the sidelines, so the players do sod all on the pitch. All are hiding equally.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Leeds Bantam, PlatinumChaosX, Bronco and 9 others like this. -

well, there has to be a reason that last season's team mysteriously turned shite in January, and that this seasons team are already shite. it's something to do with the atmosphere at the club, from the top down, and how people (and team mates) are getting treat.
these are good players - Mellor, Akpan, Scannell, Payne, Doyle are all good players. McGowan, good player. they aren't playing well. much like the team that last season we're looking good for promotion, suddenly became relegation fodder.
McCall couldn't fix it, Grayson couldn't fix it, Collins can't fix it - time to look further up the totem pole I'm afraid.broadsword, Utters0, Budgie and 6 others like this. -
Questions have to be asked, why are some players 'going through the motions' 5 games into the season? What happened to only signing a player if he understood the expectations of the club. If we've ended up with a bunch of lazy underperformers then something's gone very wrong with this recruitment process we keep hearing about.

We need decent loans in and have to hope the players O'Conner is referring to man up. O'Conner breaking ranks so early in the season speaks volumes about the current state of our club, no mention of we're all in it together!
Cullen still hasn't pitched up at Charlton, if he is genuinely available for loan we should be doing all we can to get him. We know he has the ability, the right attitude plus he improves players around him at this level and get Killa back in the fold before he naffs off to Scunny.Onside, Morley Bantam, Bronco and 4 others like this. -

hmm, food for thought there, wonder how that will go down in the dressing room, is it a not so subtle hint to Collins that he fancies the captaincy? Whatever it is, I bet he's ruffled some feathers that needed ruffling.

I thought one thing was worse than the alleged lack of effort... The lack of ideas.
We had a lot of possession, unchallenged by a side happy to sit back and with no intention of attacking in anything other than the occasional counter, and yet we looked as clueless as I have ever seen a City team.
I am sick of hearing soundbites about learning lessons or people sounding angry about performances - at this level, you cannot afford to give any ground to any team, and in terms of organisation, leadership and creativity we are well behind teams like Wycombe
Effort is an easy excuse.
Disorganisation and people blatantly not understanding the system or their role in it is not about effort.
Ask yourself, what the heck was Seedorf's role on Saturday? I don't mean what was he meant to be doing, I mean what was he actually doing?
And yet Miller was on the bench... WTF?Dennis, Aireboro Bantam, Onside and 3 others like this. -

I understand his point and we do need more leadership of this nature. It’s also commendable that he’s taking some responsibility on behalf of the players and looking to protect his rookie boss.
But when the manner of performance is repeated, it’s a systemic reflection of the club and the buck stops with the manager and ultimately the owners.
I’m becoming tired of these articles. They’re happening too often and it’s a major symptom of a broken club. Which is what Grayson thought we were.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Onside, Briggus, Bronco and 1 other person like this. -

Seen many predictable media post mortems before with the usual cliches but this is on another level. It takes some charater to call out so many other team mates in the dressing room.

Its time Parker got the thoughts of the owner. Any number of players can roll up and give it the “not good enough” bleat, and we must try harder blah, blah, blah.
Rahic openly stated he wanted to hold more Q & A sessions, but since then we haven’t had one. Parker needs to push for his thoughts, is he happy with progress or lack of it, on the pitch? Why isn’t he coming out and backing his rookie coach?
Hopefully he’s too busy looking for alternatives.broadsword, Bronco, Here's Johnny and 1 other person like this. -
Seems a fair enough article to me. Well done to him from seemingly speaking from the heart.

Wow. That's as scathing as you're ever going to get from a player about his team mates but you've got to say that it's probably deserved.

O'Connor did similar as someone said at Aberdeen, but this has a few possibilities in regards intent. He may,as an individual player and vice captain,be genuinely, and personally angry at the way some players are performing. If saying this without other players knowledge then the team could either buck their ideas up or take offence, making the situation worse.
He mentions it's unfair on Collins so is this a ploy from the top to agree with the fans in respect of performances, but saying it's not Collins' fault so Rahic's decision to appoint Collins is not the problem?
If that's the ploy it doesn't hold water because if that's the case, then it's recruitment that's at the heart of it and who did the recruitment? Yep,Collins,Drury,Abbott and Rahic.Onside, Bronco, vladimir and 1 other person like this.
