What is more shocking really is that we don't lay a glove on them for any of their goals. They just cut us open like a knife through butter. Embarrassing. Spineless.

But what is more worrying is that I look at that squad and wonder where the spark/catalyst for change on the pitch is coming from. Cannot see it.

19th in League two-21 points off top spot after just 18 games.

You are the most vocal on here anti Rupp and Sparks so makes sense for you to put your money where your mouth is and organise these long called for protests. Over to you.

 

It was a combination of tactics and individual errors all in play yesterday. PLUS our inability to score goals. Cook’s goals last season was the reason we were able to climb to the playoffs. The problems started last season and have become worse this season only in the sense that Cook is out of form. Hughes et al failed to notice that we were no where near what we should have been given our “competitive” budget.

 

Aye fair point, and to be accurate, I've only seen City play 5 times over the last 12 months or so, yesterday and the 4 games against us last season, its just that ....he's OK, does a job, makes defenders think, reasonable in the air, (although he should have buried that one in the 78 minute), scores a decent amount of goals, but the 5 games I've seen him play he doesn't 'jump out of the page' so to speak.
Anyway genuine City fans who watch most of the games know a lot more than I do, so I'll shut up.

 

Forget how “competitive” budget was. The problem isn’t the budget it’s the lack of planning or vision the club as.

You need a manager that’s going to operate the playing style you want and then if that manager is failing you get a manager that plays that same way. You need to agree to get players in that are going to add quality or that telling experience.

Look at Notts Yesterday as an example and how they have found div 2 easy as come be so far.

Bradford City are just a mess! A club with no idea, fans that just sit back and watch their club just get destroyed by people that don’t care.. Yet, we are meant to love the club? Right then! We are all starting to look like mugs and guess what? We are getting treated like mugs!

Difference between us and Notts County, they have two strikers yesterday that could play a higher level, we have one who had a purple patch last season but is generally a league 2 striker coming toward the end. I love the lad to bits but not sure he's gonna get you promotion.

 

Our so called defenders gift wrapped most of countys goals. They looked like they could not care less.

 

He should have got us promotion last season though. If you've got a striker netting 30 goals then you really should be troubling that top 3.

 

Put Andy Cook against that back line yestetday and he would have had a field day ...........now dont get me wrong he missed a fair few chances yesterday but he was made to work for them unless the County lot who simply found it easy to get at our non existent backline.

Them having two decent strikers was not the difference it was our pathetic back line
...........they will not have an easier 1st half all season.

Yet Andy Cook had 12 efforts at goal yesterday, that's on his own. Don't stand up for him this season, he's been dire. Put Langstaff and McGoldrick upfront for us yesterday and we would not have lost

 

And yet we changed the system at half time. And guess what? We didn't concede. Stop digging that hole, you won't be able to get out soon.

 

Ffs you seriously think that County went hell for leather like the first half .and it aint a hole your making out that 4-4-2 was the reason we lost when we have played over systems and guess what we still got battered.

We lost yesterday because the defending was shambolic and whatever systems you play will not save you if your defendera aint getting the basics right .............still if your happy that we won the 2nd half 2-0 to get your point across then well done

He had more than enough chances yesterday just one of them days i suppose.

11 efforts on goals from him you would have thought he would have had a couple.

Still at least we are creating now he will come good again

 

Until the day folk stop making it easier for him then nothing will change and Rupp knows that
If suddenly thousands didnt buy season tickets then he would be forced to step up.

Sadly for us mugs ( im one of them ) we are simply hoping that we van produce a miracle and get out of this league but as long as that recruitment team are in place then sadly we are simply fooked.

I mean would it be so hard for him to come out and make the odd statement or actually have a vision of what tbe hell is going on ?????

Hes been fortunate over the last 3 seasons that numbers have been so high

21/22 season was on the back of covid folk desperate to come in

22/23 the dawn of the Hughes era when it looked like we would do some thing

23/24 had season tickets not been taking off sale in March how many would have seriously renewed ????? I mean at the time we looked League 1 bound bet a fair few are regretting it now.

We have another season of nothing then i can see a couple of thousand going missing at least

 

At least a couple of thousand. I think it's dawning on people that if they buy a season ticket they are funding this madness.
If you want Rupp to sit up and take note, lower his asking price - stop funding it.

 

I'm gonna have to agree to disagree with you Wayne as neither of us are gonna change our mind. Saves us both boring each other to death .

 

Lets hope by then both Cook and the other 10 show more improvement, it would be a big call to expect Young to be recalled and take on the role of our number one striker, I think of the two Pattison is more of a threat than Oliver but hopefully both should be knocking on the door for at least a cameo role soon.
