You normally make some good points but you hate young players coming through don’t you. Yes he put a sharp chance wide when he hadn’t been on the field two minutes but he took players on which should have made space for others. And with all the Walsall players sitting back in the second half he looked the most likely to break them down

 

So it's a no win then for Bradford City fans .

 

Don't mind young players coming through; just tired of the same old "isn't he great" ratings, which are invariably followed by needless backlashes 20 appearances down the line.

Happened to Luke O'Brien, Joe Colbeck, Lewis Emanuel etc..

My view is that if we were realistic as a fanbase from the start, we wouldn't need to overreact when flaws become apparent.

He overrun the ball virtually every time he had it. He needs to improve that, or he'll get slated by the knee jerkers. The type of people who turn on good players like Nicky Law because while they complete passes, they're not the RIGHT passes (ie forward).

Pathetic, isn't it?

 

What we have creative players!!!, go wash your mouth out we don't need those sort of players we need 11 grafters.

 

I think you’ll find that since I joined this site, you have called me more names than I have anyone else combined. The last line above says it all.

The fact is YOU DO NOT KNOW what role Law was given when he came on, on Saturday. To state he “came on to do the exact same job” is your guess and makes YOU look foolish..!

As you said, Law played how he is programmed to play. He isn’t a winger, and never has been so why would he be sent on to ‘do the exact same job’...?

 

Nicky Law was one of my favourite players when he was here on loan he like to make runs into the box and make things happen. However he is an attacking midfielder and he has lost either the will or the ability to go past a player he is fairly good at holding the ball but his distribution hardly ever creates anything and his passes are increasingly sideways and reverse. As for young players of course by the nature of things they have a lot to learn and as in the case of Gibson he will have to learn quickly following the comments from the manager. But I like seeing young players coming through and I think they should be encouraged

 

It doesn’t matter where law plays he is never positive he is talented but in my opinion he has falling into the habit of one way of playing negatively

 

No issue with that.

Of course he only played because of the situation, not because he forced his way into the team...

 

That’s why we need a manager who is willing and allowed from above to play them.

 

They will be relied upon if the manager in charge feels they can be relied upon, and no sooner.

 

Agree park. Law has had all the positive aspects of his game coached out of him at Motherwell and rangers

 

I believe Grayson gave an explanation about this last night? He said that Gibson hadn’t done enough in training or Dev Squad games and as he didn’t know him from Adam, he wasn’t going to pick him because someone in the stands thinks he looks ‘positive’.

I think he mentioned one or two others that needed to do more in training to force their way in. Looking at how he has dropped Law if late, I’d suggest he hasn’t been pulling up trees in training either.

But someone expecting a player to start doing something they have never done in 12/15yrs of professional football is, well, plain stupid

 

I hope he's finished when Grayson goes.
