It really has been a magnificent turnaround. With the form we were in 10 points from 12 was unimaginable.

If rumours are to be believed and Hurst is announced tomorrow then he owes a lot to Trueman and Sellars for inheriting an in form, confident side.

    Great facts

Thanks for this, as I had also under-rated Dolan - forgetting these superb highlights

He deserves to mentioned in the same breathe as Jewell and Parkinson

Nice to have a post that really makes you think and change your mind

I would be very disappointed if Hurst comes in now.

No brainer for me now. 18 month contracts for Trueman and Sellars please

Can it not be until the end of the season with a possible extension?

You get Hurst in and this team go back to use their vital man-management skills in getting us some gems from the under-18's

Meanwhile Hurst uses his vast book of contacts to build the first team in January and next summer

It then looks like the first time ever, we have good people throughout

Tempting to keep Trueman & Sellars but wouldn’t they want to keep these players at the end of the season when 15 are out of contract?

We appear to have people in place for recruitment. The players have really bought into these two it would be stupid to lose that now give these lads the job

Listening to Trueman, he hinted no decision has been made about a permanent manager being announced. Hurst to be unveiled tomorrow as some have said?, cannot see it myself

Why do you frequently double post. Is it because you want to get your post quota up?

Anyone who can get a tune out of the current squad deserves a shot. Radio Leeds stated that they are only the 2nd City manager to get 10 points out of first 4 games in charge ever.

No wonder we're in the shit when people already want Trueman and Sellers in permanently after a few games. They've done great but when McCall has had them underperforming all season it's not really a shock that we've improved and look like a proper football team.

Can't analyse a team and it's managers over 4 games and make such a big decision based on that. Hopkin got us 12 points out of 15, scoring 13 and conceding 1 in a December not too long ago, with people saying we should be looking towards the playoffs (like they are now) and look what happened after that. We've won by the odd goal in each of our games and suddenly we're on the up and NEED to appoint Trueman? It's too small of a sample size IMO and appointing them would be a knee-jerk reaction to a short spell of success. Sure we can be happy about the job they've done and they should be rewarded, but when we're in such a delicate position it's mad that some are clamouring for them to be appointed

If a pair of Under 18's managers can make us look to be a decent team then what could a good experienced manager do? And I don't mean the dinosaur managers like Grayson.

Since the final whistle, Hurst's odds have gone from 1/3 to 4/7 and Trueman's odds have shortened to 9/4 from 4/1 with SkyBet

It simply doesn't follow that a more experienced or 'better' manager would get better results.

Evidently, Trueman and Sellars have found a formation that suits and addressed the balance of the team.

Is it even likely that the next incumbent will play the same style, formation, pressing game or grassroots tactics?

Because if not, it's just as likely that the next manager temporarily derails us.

An experienced manager has inevitably failed somewhere else which is why they currently find themselves out of work. What makes you think that one of these experienced managers would come in and do better?

Listen to Elliot Watt talking about the in depth preparation Trueman and Sellars undertake prior to a game, for example sending DVDs to players individually about future opposition, it's the modern way mate and one I am onboard with.

We have suffered under too many experience managers since Parky left. Hurst may be no better than the likes of Hopkin, Bowyer and McCall

Fantastic win today, told some of you not to be so negative before kick off ;) I know exactly what you are saying Biker, I would just be inclined to go with the heart on this one IF 1) the recruitment guy is securely in place and 2) conversations have already taken place between him, Ryan, Trueman and Sellars about how they can work together.
Football is all about momentum and January is now a slightly different (but far better) challenge - we STILL need to improve in a number of key areas and ideally move a few on if we can achieve this. Getting improvements in will be an easier task selling the club now there appears to be a structure in place and a sense of moral amongst the acting manager and key players. Now is the time to build on this
So for me, if Ryan could confirm the above is in place I would be happy with an announcement that T&S are our new management team

If we had appointed Hurst at the same time we sacked Stuart I doubt we would have got the results we have. We should stick with what’s working instead I’d risking a manager who has had mixed fortunes in the past. Give them an initial contract till the end of the season and reassess then
