Is this the same Clarke you lambasted previously as not being a good signing, no pace etc blah blah and a backwards move?

    Yes, the same Clarke.

He's still a poor signing but he gets into our poor team for sure.

He made so many chances yesterday with his forward passing , don't you agree?

Think we should go for Trueman and Sellers. Might sound daft but what if we went for the model that Rahic tried but got tragically wrong. He essentially wanted a director of football (himself, the football genius), head of recruitment (Abbott) and a head coach who could manage the team on a week by week basis. It's a model that could actually be successful if done properly, its more sustainable and not relying on a single manager to cover all bases. The director of football can be the experienced football brain who makes the long term footballing decisions and sets the vision going forward, and generally assesses things from afar and offers footballing advice. In my opinion Trueman and sellers fit this model perfectly, two talented coaches who wont necessarily be up for making those decisions but can get stuck into the coaching an managing side of things on the front line. They're exactly what Rahic was hoping Collins would be but it was never going to work, he wasnt a good enough coach an Rahic certainly knew nothing about football. We've supposedly already got the head of recruitment in place, maybe now just appoint a DOF? Even if just until the summer then re assess its well worth trying. Everyone has doubts over Trueman and sellers' experience and contacts etc, maybe just don't look at them as traditional managers who are expected to manage everything. Stuart had to do everything himself this season and got most of it wrong.

Still didn't perform well. You're sounding like Stuart now. Do you think he'd now have 3 unbeaten games under his belt now these players are back?

As I say he walks in to a poor Bradford City team.

You said he wasn't good enough before to play for the Club. What has changed your mind?

Nothing wrong with criticising the team in general Fordy but regardless of that Clarke is still a quality footballer.

    He isn't though.

Sitting bottom half in div 2 I don't think we can say we have quality footballers.

I personally thought Clarke was poor yesterday. He chased and harried well, but apart from his ball to Sutton for the goal, his use of the ball was shocking. Most of his passes fiund Grimsby players

You make some good points, you’re perhaps forgetting though that I have money riding on Hurst and for that reason Hurst is the only man for the job

I think those wanting Sellars and Trueman in full time should ask themselves a question.

3 games ago, would you have been happy with them replacing Stuart on a permanent basis? If its a yes, you're probably lying so it's not worth a debate but If its a no then what, in just 270 minutes of football can possibly make you convinced that they should be given a shot.

Clarke would be a great squad man to have if we'd built ours correctly. Unfortunately we haven't and we're shoe horning him into a wide right role just because we don't have anyone else suitable.

What's this 2020 football fixation Fordy? Footy is footy whatever the era is. The big relevant development of the modern era is fitness conditioning which has been a good thing but even with that people moan about the number of games they play.
As for manager or head coach! I couldn't care less what he's (or she's) called as long as they produce the goods. Too many people trying to over complicate things these days.

answer would be no, but the fact of the matter is these lads have produced performances and results that no one expected. In less than 2 days they seemingly transformed the team everyone thought were doomed for relegation. Even if a manager with a great cv came in most people would expect it to be a slow turn around and a couple of transfer windows before the manager got the team playing how they want, it's what we've heard from the likes of Hopkin/ Bowyer/ McCall and these lads have made them look like amateurs in comparison. Could have stumbled on some real talent here so why not give them 6 months to see what they can do?

I don’t think right midfield is his best position to be fair, but it was a game he was 100 % fired up for and after Samuels failed to track his man back last week, perhaps Billy was considered a more streetwise option.

some of those crosses Morais put in were the sort we need from our right but never got from DMH or Ismail.

There's absolutely no way Clarke can be classified as a "quality footballer". Please explain what he brings to the team in terms of quality. I'm struggling to even identify what position he plays these days. He's a squad player. And to underline it, he's a squad player in a league two team that is currently in a relegation scrap.
