    Maybe with Sparks well known use of social media he has floated todays article in the T and A to see what reaction it receives from fans. If there is a clamour of disgust at the thought of appointing Hurst then that may well be the end of it. If it is received favourably then maybe on Monday there will be a picture of Hurst holding up the scarf.

    Just a reply to a suggestion that he would sound out the fans before making the most important decision he has to make in his short tenure so far.The poll proves that fans have many suggestions.Going down the fans favourite road before has notalways proved to be the best route.I just want a proper selection process based on skills rather than a little black book.I like most was sceptical at first but appreciate that he has to be given time.Definitely not a hater.

    I'd take Hurst

    Looking at the poll, I'm astounded why anyone thinks Adkins would be better, considering he's had a fairly ordinary career since his sacking at Sheff U (when they ended up in their lowest position in 30 years by the way) and has had no success in L2 - he's not even managed at this level

    Hurst basically walked out of Scunthorpe, who have a Chairman probably as nuts at our Uncle Edin was. Ipswich, have hardly been patient with any managers and have shown since that their lofty image, of themselves as Championship promotion contenders, is delusional

    I think he'll have the nous to plot a positive way forward, which is basically all we can ask for

    I’d be happy with Lowe or Hurst, mainly because both still probably want to prove themselves and will have a desire to succeed and don’t have a past with us! Anything is better than our last tactic of ringing our old mate seeing if he wants another go, shame we didn’t have a proper selection process in February we might not be in this mess now.
