Ignore the circumstances because that doesn't suit your story.

I bet Jewell and Parky didn't have great win rates, but they are two of our very best Managers.

Ignoring nothing apart from him being arrogant and absolutely pants at winning football matches. I'd rather re-appoint Stuart than have Mr Billy Bigballs.

He's got 3% of the votes on here and that tells you all you need to know.

It's not, he's just crap and extremely arrogant with it. Just can't see why we would swap manager to appoint someone whose won 14 out of 53, irrespective of the back story. We need a "new manager bounce" and I can't see that with Campbell at all.

I want us to progress and I can't see it happening with Sol Campbell or for that matter Jonathan Woodgate (but I don't need to mention him because there is no-one on here stupid enough to champion his cause) We need stability, we need nous and we need a manager who has shown he can vastly improve the existing players we have.

No agenda, despite what you are suggesting (and I know what you are suggesting, so why not just say it), he's just not good enough and not proven enough. But hey, if you want to vote for someone who might bugger off at the first sign of trouble then knock yourself out.

The win rate doesn't really matter if you are going for a manager not at a club because more than likely they have been sacked.

I've said before that I would pay compo for manager if that's he is the person we really want. Football has to come first now! We are keep going on the Rhodes failure route of hiring out of work managers because he was more interested in pennies.

    What is important is:

    1) Getting us out of the mess short term
    2) A manager that players can look up too. Maybe a player or a manager
    3) A manager that can attract players. Maybe as because of his playing days or a manager
    4) An ambitious manager. This is what I felt Bowyer and Grayson lacked. Been there done it! Not willing to get into modern times. Stuck in the past with their ways.
    5) Wants to oversee a project for at least 18 months. I don't care if they want to use Bradford City as a stepping stone.
    6) Wants to create a playing identity throughout the club. This is the managers job not Sparks!
    7) A manager that has an understanding of the modern game and be able to tell Sparks what is needed for improvement. Forget the AD, fans. Sparks needs to listen to the manager. If the manager is saying we need a new training ground or new bloody training kits then Rupp and Sparks need to listen. Off the pitch Spark needs to develop his own team not always count on those that have been around for years. Bloody hell even Boris got rid of Cummings. Sparks get judged off the pitch.
    8) A manager that has an eye for development and I don't just mean youth. All our players need to improve.
    9) Can work on a budget.
    10) Not care about the fans and needs to be able to handle the truth. This was a major problem for McCall his the shocking radio interviews.

For me we have to go for the man we want then stick to the long term version. I don't care if its Campbell. Believe it or not I am going to trust Sparks judgement on this one for now.

If Cowley or Alexander don’t want it then I think Adkins could be a good choice. Or if as the T@ A are hinting at we go for a manager in situ then Coleman at Accrington could be a good choice

Your source is rubbish! You making things up again? You said we had someone lined up which clearly isn't the case and rightly so!

Personally I think John McGreal would be a great shout. Did well at Colchester on a limited budget. I've been surprised to see a few of the usual morons on Twitter bracketing him with Campbell and Woodgate in the firm "no" camp.

The problem is it's the same old candidates every time a job comes up. I agree with the points @Fordy117@Fordy117 makes, it has to be someone who is in it for the long term and can build an epoch, just like Parky did (don't particularly want him back though as we need "new"). Someone who will buy into northern grit and develop something here that we can all jump on the shirt tails of. I think Cowley could do that, I'm not sure about Hurst as he jumped Shrewsbury for a better offer. Alexander might in the right club, Adkins might have been out of the game too long.

John McGreal might be a good choice, he understands what it means to come through the ranks and what a local team means, having played 200 times for Tranmere. He's had 7 years of working his way up the structure at Colchester and a decent win rate of 38% in his four years at Colchester with a play off campaign under his belt.

Not convinced that Coleman isn't stuck too far into his own comfort zone to make a move now.

Woodgate & Campbell want jobs, but don't need jobs and the needing is more important than simply wanting to be a football coach. Neither have any experience as a player in the Khazi league, and that's another point that's more important than being just a name.

We need to avoid being suckered into appointing someone because of who they are and appoint someone because of what they are. Someone mentioned Aidy Boothroyd. I wouldn't say no to him if he wanted to get back into club football, and if we were going to poach a manager then Keith Curle has absolutely tonnes of experience, has worked under the likes of Warnock and has done a great job at Northampton.

Of those on the list who are likely to be interested, David Flitcroft probably has the most relevant experience, did a great job keeping Barnsley up and had a 50% win rate at Swindon. After a bad start at Mansfield he took them from 2 wins in 12 to finish 8th.

    What are you on about?

The source that confirmed that Sparks was the new CEO and that Stuart had been given a 1 year extension?

Why would you go on a rumour message board if you don’t like rumours? Odd.

Parkys win rate was just shy of 40% at Colchester, Hull & Charlton combined despite it being dragged down a bit by his poor experience at Hull. Jewell can't be classed on win rate before taking as he was a rooky (he won 6 of 21 in his caretaker season) but had been on the coaching staff for nearly 3 years and was judged from within, so was part of the managerial team under Kammy that had a 36% win rate. Jewell was basically given the job for having the "balls" to make the players stay on the pitch at half time when 4.0 down to Crewe.

Probably the same source who says Leeds will drop into tier two and the rest of West Yorkshire stay in tier three

So far, McGreal, Hurst and Flitcroft are confirmed interested candidates.

Cowley and Alexander are both ruled out; Parkinson has been ruled out by the T&A as they understand it.

The worry is why so many clearly ruling themselves out!!

Someone like Alexander shouldn't be ruling himself out of this job.

I would have thought that Alexander, like other managers who have been sacked, will have a compensation package based on not taking another job for the remainder of the duration of their severed contract. So he waits until the latter part of the season, sees a relatively stable club, which for whatever reason has sacked their manager, is not in danger of relegation, potentially in with a ‘play off’ spot, has some players that he feels he can work with. That scenario was similar to Bradford City earlier this year, just the state of the club and the players may have put him off.
So why come to City now?

To be fair the club is a little basket case though innit? He may also be a little big headed like Grayson was. I want to set up a project with a younger enthusiastic manager.

Yeah, excellent points about the compensation package that some might getting be sitting on.
