    Could very well be.

Some of the names labelled across this site and beyond are laughable. Well beyond our reproach and pay grade.
I just don't see the financial prudence (?) of 2020, being offset by a profile manager. The two just don't add up in my mind.

McCall's first game back this time was against Grimsby. Weird how often these sort of things happen in football.

Oldham Athletic are the Grim Reapers for BCFC managers. Grimsby Town are the maternity nurses.

Interesting to see we haven't ruled out a manger who's already in work. Although I'd imagine if we went down that route it would be someone from lower down the pyramid rather than Flynn, Lowe etc.

Which shows how bonkers Plymouth would be if that happened. Any L1 manager who got a team promoted during the pandemic, has to be given more time simply because their squad actually wasn't proven over the season.

Plus Plymouth, showed loyalty to Adams. Remember, when his terrible team came here in October/November 2017 and basically "parked the bus" (we of course couldn't get near it never mind around it!!) they looked doomed at Xmas - but they showed faith and improved

It would be fantastic timing for us

:joy::joy:. Love the last line about BRE. Do you think he's still in trauma following his, er, traumatic experience at the hands of a our police? Maybe he suffered more than we realise. Like Stallone in 'Lock Up'!! :joy:

I'd go Cowleys, they're used to training at schools

Maybe I'm reading too much into it but after listening to Ryan's interview I feel that Rupp will be more involved than at any time in the past, he said Rupp was behind the vision going forward.
I was happy with his comments with regards our transfer dealings in the past which most would agree.
Employing a recruitment team with scouts will be different to what we have been used to before, he sounded so positive ( yes talk is cheap) but let's draw a line in the sand and get behind the club let's hope its the new begining you certainly cant knock his enthusiasm.

Unconvinced that Lowe would be available. Press seem pretty supportive and even when a fan posts the inevitable 'Lowe Out' on their boards, there's a surprising number (or perhaps not) rightly defending him

I actually think, unless he was sacked, it makes him less likely to want to leave - even if we assume he wants to move back North (no evidence for this) or he wanted to come here

Don't think the moving area bit is a problem, he still lives in Liverpool.

They are under their first bad spell with him, but he still has a 47% win record with Plymouth even including this spell of 5 defeats in a row. Looks like the fans just want a more solid style of play, tends to use a 352 but the width tends to stay forward leaving gaps. Worked out scoring teams in L2 but they keep getting caught on the break. Think they will give him a bit longer.

Getting concerned that the likes of Bantams banter are starting to talk up Sol Campbell as a really good thing and saying he’s not got a bad record. The bookies are shortening the odds as well. I really don’t want him, he’s arrogant, probably more concerned being elected mayor of London.

The problem with Sol is his arrogance. Most teams getting a PL winner and ex-England international are likely to get a bump but he thinks he is the greatest thing to happen to management ever and thinks he deserves a top 6 PL job so looks down on anyone else and doesn't seem to want to really put the effort in to show his ability and actually learning the skills that you can only learn by doing it. Hence why when it gets tough he jumps ship and then just complains. He would be out of City by Feb with the mess the club is in :)

I'm not sure about that. What I've read from him was him stating that he wanted a chance.

You say he won't put the effort in but he worked at Macclesfield for free. He wasn't getting paid. He saw the job through and kept them up.

I don't particularly like the guy, but that doesn't mean he's a poor football manager.

    It's quite insightful :)

When they took over at Concorde Rangers and Braintree, they were PE teachers.

He led Concorde to 3 promotions and then took Braintree to 3rd in the National League in his first year.

    http://www.just-football.com/2016/05/meet-danny-cowley-pe-teacher-non-league-ranieri-leicester-braintree-town/

He then went to Lincoln. He won the conference in his first year and got to the quarter-final of the FA Cup, beating, Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley. Promotion in League 2 in his third season led to him going to Huddersfield.

5 promotions under his belt and he kept Huddersfield up when they were odds on to be relegated.

Still, his record is not a patch on Sol Campbells...
