I hope not. Having been sensible enough to realise that Bowyer couldn’t stay, they couldn’t be daft enough to effectively carry on his “work” through Drury.

The short-term combo of Warnock / McCall is probably the best shot at play-offs and getting supporters back on side. Time’s ticking for Warnock as well - by the end of Feb, there won’t be enough games left for him to achieve his personal goal. He also needs to decide if he wants to manage anywhere, or somewhere that has its own goal i.e. promotion or avoid relegation. Personally, I’d rather go out on a high of winning promotion than avoiding relegation. Hope we see Warnock / McCall today and then take stock when the seasons finished. Plenty of time as L2 finishes early this season.

 

i reckon the following are involved.

Gary Bowyer loses 3 and draws 3 - 95%+ acceptance from fans that a sacking is the right thing to do and excitement about the future.

Stuart McCall loses 6 on the bounce (generally to poor teams) - "oh no, he should never have been sacked, come back again"

Underwhelmed if it’s Stuart but think it will be. Do love him but felt in big games we always came up short under him despite his good form overall. We have a lot of big games left. Hope I’m wrong but would have preferred warnock and him.

if it is McCall we must make sure he gets his own back room team in if that’s what he needs

 

He'll probably lose a non-league standard, reserve right back and we all know you can't hold a squad together after catastrophes like that.

He was also trying to interfere with tactics and team selection; regardless of whether McCall took any notice of him, it must have been an incredibly difficult situation when you've got a group of players not sure whether to do what the manager tells them or what the owner does.

As @Fordy117 says, it’s lazy and comfortable. I actually think it’s like that ex you dumped, but know she is still in love with you, and will always want you back. Because of that, you know you can shag around at your hearts content, but there’s always someone to fall back on if times get tough.

Poor Stuart hasn’t got any other choice to say “yes” to us.

On a happier note, would be great if Stu brings Killer back as his assistant. The more “ex’s” around who are still in love with us, the better!

 

I'd bring Killer back to play until the end of the season, including Davies and Mcmahon. They'd be better than what we have at the back at the moment.

 

McCall is a massive part of Bradford City's history like many others, anyone not wanting him back for this challenge has a problem, I reckon the majority of us don't....

The thing is, cos he’s dear to our hearts, those that don’t want him here are just fearing for the repercussions if he fails.

 

He is I've been told, Martin Drury is out, now only Rupp to get rid of and we can put these last few years behind us.

What is really the proof in the pudding however is the contrast to how you backed rahic and every other manager when 95% of the board at that time saw different.

 

I don’t hate him at all I have met and talked to him on several occasions and he is a lovely bloke. And he is up there with the best players I have seen following the club.
Yes so far I haven’t rated him as a manager because his success record doesn’t warrant it. Perhaps it is beyond your power of reasoning to understand to separate criticism of him as a manager with him as a person.
Like everybody else on here I hope and pray his sixth attempt is successful he has all the advantages
