Great signing but 3 years is a long contract, Suspect it was the difference in why we beat Tranmere to his signature with a longer deal making the difference, Lets hope it is the most prolific 3 years of his career,

 

I really hope not. Doyle could still be the massive player for us that we all hoped he would be. Great competition for places having to choose 2 from Vaughan, Doyle & Donaldson.

Just need to offload McCartan and Patrick now and get an upgrade on the latter. I would still like some pace to give us a different option and none of the others can give us that

I am going to be interested now to see how season ticket sales go on the back of this cluster of signings and positivity. Hopefully @Bradford End can give us an idea over next few weeks.

The VERY same reason that brought Thorne to VP, I believe. Peter wanted one last hurrah before enjoying some surf time, along with family, as he finally hung his boots up.
You could tell he enjoyed every minute on the pitch, NO hard tackles, enjoyed his freedom, and always a smile on his face.

 

Be a great signing this if it comes off.

Can see him doing well in league two. Maybe the perfect league to find himself again and hopefully get us plenty of goals to fire us back up the league. Him and Donaldson couple prove to be a good partnership

For those doubting it, I’d say imagine how you’d feel if one of our rivals signed these two. I think we’d be envious.

@Lost Mackem i would say sometimes it doesn’t work at some clubs for some players. The attitude thing is a worry but I think the right mindset he will be an asset in league two.
Sunderland does seem to be a bit of a graveyard for strikers, no disrespect.

 

I keep mentioning it but the whole Palladini / London pub meeting with a copy of a paper was absolutely spellbindingly brilliant. Back in the C&B days but my wife thought I'd lost my mind, sat looking at a screen and bursting out laughing for no good reason.

What kind of “evidence” do you require for someone’s opinion to be valid? Scout report? Season ticket for the players club from previous season?

 

The constant bickering is ridiculous. Seriously, what is wrong with people, Is that what people are like in daily life?

 

Surely we should be more concerned about who can score the goals to get us promoted than who has the better sell on?

If Vaughan fires us to promotion and leaves on a free, I wouldn’t be devastated. Would you?
