New signing finally confirmed ... Chris Taylor

That's plain daft if the FA and EFL won't assist a member club in matters like this with advice on how to proceed.
What are they there for of not to intervene in cases like this to provide clarity.

It's hardly a complex case is it?
IIRC no signed paperwork or contract or any other kind of written evidence exists other than maybe a team sheet.

Its just plain bonkers.

The sad thing is though, we're talking about a professional footballer who isn't being allowed to do his profession because of this error. There was no intent from Taylor to "cheat the system". The lad just wants to play football. I should imagine his family and his mortgage provider want him to play football too. This type of admin error, which in the great scheme of things doesn't really affect much in footballing terms, should be looked at what it is - an admin error, and sense should prevail. Does playing one game for Barrow in an entirely different league, with no direct outcome on either sides results, really mean that a player has to put his life on hold for something that he didn't intend? Stuff like this should be put in front of a jury of sorts.

 

Taylor is still training with the squad. Not sure if that's to keep his fitness up so we can sign him in January? Down there now and hes definitely training so still hope it can be completed by the look of things.

 

Realy feel sorry for the lad. It seems crazy that his liveliehood is been affected over this.

Good to see City helping him out and allowing him to train. Sounds to me like he will be signing for us in January though

Its a bonkers situation made worse by the incompetence of the FA and EFL.

The lad has bills to pay and a family to support and the powers that be are sitting on the fence.

Its scandalous that this is happening.

 

Any updates on the likes of Reeves, Pritchard, Connolly ?.

 

There'll be no need surely. Palmer and Devitt fit by january plus maybe reeves too and theres no place for Taylor.

 

Again, Reeves was out training doing full training. Connolly was on fitness work away from the group with Gibson, no sign of Pritchard.

in Scotland so I guess they do what suits them?

What is plain bonkers. He has an agent. These are the kind of these they should advise on. I always thought when the season starts you can play trialists but not sure at that level

 

You'd have expected the PFA to get involved and try to obtan gainful employment for one of their members.
