Devine and Anderson are shit. Akpan is hit and miss at best. Palmer is injured and Reeves has been out for two years. But yeah, overstocked with midfielders. Some of them might be told to look elsewhere in January with a bit of luck.

 

Agree completely. The only time I have seen Taylor play (to my knowledge) was in the second half of the friendly against Liverpool. I thought he looked ok and got forward fairly well.

 

He scored against us for Blackpool, he didn’t have the best game of his career against Brighouse in pre season but then again not many of them did that night

 

I am fine with this short term signing. A player Bowyer has worked with at Blackburn and Blackpool, so obviously trusts his character.

He provides competition and cover in midfield. Dont forget, we could lose 3 or 4 of our midfield players on January 1st too. If we do lose any of them, the incentive for Taylor is to prove himself and be in a strong position to see his contracted extended further in January

Palmer and Devitt are on loan - they might be gone in 6 weeks. If Taylor is any good he might provide some continuity in January - could maybe extend his contract on a monthly basis

 

You really don't know how football works. Look at Doyle gone to Swindon because of a manager who he used to play for and said manager knows how he plays nothing different to what Bowyer has done.

Because we've the standard party line thrown out about lack of money etc then we waste wages on Taylor and Anderson etc.

I work out he's a waste in wages:

Cooke, Akpan, Devine, Anderson, Palmer, Devitt and Reeves.

I would consider it a waste of a wage or you like piling up on midfielders.

 

Let's just wait till he's playing in competitive games and see how he does plus after your calls to try convince us Wright could play in our midfield when an 8th tier team run rings round him at the weekend. I think you should reserve judgement so your not made to look very silly again.

 

He may have 1 less goal but there is still 14 places between us and them so I'd say that is a better comparison.
