I get your point about not paying over the odds, but as I say he's still young and if he has been the play maker in a promotion chasing team it may be seen as a little short sighted not to get Cooke on board perminatly.

Taylor is another one of Bowyers ex players the other are doing well I remember similar comments on Pritchard from Blackpool fans and he hasn’t done bad.

I am fine with this short term signing. A player Bowyer has worked with at Blackburn and Blackpool, so obviously trusts his character.
He provides competition and cover in midfield. Dont forget, we could lose 3 or 4 of our midfield players on January 1st too. If we do lose any of them, the incentive for Taylor is to prove himself and be in a strong position to see his contracted extended further in Januarybryan groom, The Evidence, bantamdave41 and 1 other person like this. -

I dont think this is a bad signing as its only short term.If he does get fit and plays as cover for the injured midfielders and plays well . We will have the option of extending his contract to the end of the season.

Some of our fans even judge players in preseason games that’s how clueless they are

You'd think that City fans would start to reserve judgement now based on some of the signings Bowyer has made but no lets crucify him already based on 45 minutes in pre season and what other fans say.Stop hovering to collapse... If judging somebody who is a professional, playing against part timers ( whose fitness should be less than his ) and looking poor is clueless then, guess what, I'm clueless and you're far superior to me.Andy10, borderlescott and Bronco like this. -

All fans I speak to these says are agreed that by and large Bowyer’s signings have been good value for money. I particularly like the fact he went for a big left-footed centre back and also brought in some much needed pace. Two goal-scoring performances from Akpan have not caused me to greatly change my mind about this player but I am very happy to be proved wrong. I’ve also been impressed with Bowyer’s recent substitutions. Things are so much better than at this time last year. We need to be cautiously optimistic however because there is a long way to go and unforeseen injuries can mar a season.

You'd have expected the PFA to get involved and try to obtan gainful employment for one of their members.

Bradford City have completed the signing of midfielder Chris Taylor.
The 32-year-old’s move was initially prevented - following a registration issue - after the former Blackpool man made an appearance for Barrow AFC.
However, following further discussions with the EFL, it has been agreed that Taylor can now join the Bantams.
Taylor is fully eligible to feature in claret and amber and will do so up until at least the middle of January, having penned a new two-month contract.
No action will be taken against Bradford City as a result of Taylor’s appearance for Barrow in the FA Lancashire Cup.
Taylor said: "After one of the strangest periods in my life, I am delighted and over the moon to finally be a Bradford City player.
"I am looking to play my part in what will hopefully be a special season for the club.
"I honestly cannot wait to pull on the shirt and get going!"
Taylor will wear the No.29 shirt and could make his City debut in tomorrow evening’s Leasing.com Trophy fixture against Rochdale.NZBantam, RonnieBrown and Paul like this.
