16 pages of a 'new manager' thread and I'm sure the thought of sacking Hughes hasn't even entered the heads of Rupp and Sparks yet.

 

I think is it in a nutshell. I think he's come to terms with the fact he's bought a dud, he's satisfied we're not loss making and we're at the bottom of the pile of his business interests. If an offer comes along that's reasonable, he'll bale. Given the increase in revenue, he may even be taking money out as a dividend and be more than happy with the lie of the land. He has no emotional investment in us, after all.

 

Well that's already ruined my morning!

The club made a loss in 2020/21 and in 2021/22, there is no evidence that Rupp is taking out a dividend. This nonsense was debunked a couple of years ago,he’d just be taking money from himself. Your just trying to stir up this anti Rupp agenda. Dividend taking was taken to extreme by big Geoffrey in the year 2000.

I reckon there's quite a few players that are, or have been in on it as well. Eisa wasn't really 'injured' for 2 years and Young hasn't really had a fall out with Hughes, they were just excuses to ensure goal scorers don't get in the team. They got caught out with Cook last year, but they've made sure to put that right with the terms and conditions of his new contract.

I'm not trying to stir anything up and I'm not accusing anyone. There's no evidence either was, is there? Sparks has said he's putting no money in, maybe he could clarify that no money is going out either? I don't have an agenda, other than wanting the best for the club and seeing the disaster that Rupp's tenure has been.

 

Not sure why fans are getting on Sparks back? Hughes has a recruitment team and his own assistant. If between them all they can't put together a decent squad vying for promotion at a club with little to no support from the owner how the hell is that Sparks fault? Lad needs cutting some slack here, were a small business but with the pressure of 17/18,000 people breathing down his neck after every move. Yes, he needs to be accountable but not to the levels of a witchhunt.

Some really interesting points raised but the crux of it is that some fans are petrified of debt (scars of the admin I get it) but what is happening now is more dangerous for the clubs future in my opinion. The league is getting stronger and stronger and we are clearly standing still this is going to limit our chances of getting out revenue will drop as people get bored and tired of this league (sponsors will as well) .

Am not saying splash millions I am saying we should be attracting the best in this division and the one below. Why aren’t we? It’s money simple as that.

 

Does your boss stand over you to make sure you are doing your job? . No he sets out your contract of employment and expects you to fulfil it to expectations or part ways with you while he runs the company.

 

Its money, but I think its our recruitment approach too. Our approach seems random. We should be investing in greater use of scouting and data to target the best young players in League 2 and the Conference.

 

There are Bradford City fans making that sort of claim, unfortunately I don't have coaching badges, although looking at those who have may be it's not a positive thing to brag about.
