What's not national league?

How about the fact its league 2 and not the national league!

 

If we have an agreement with Adams and Morecambe how are we being unfair to them. At no time has Sparks mentioned them or Adams there is nothing the club can do about speculation

 

Also, if it is Adams, Morecambe were within their right to refuse our approaches, unless there is a clause in his contract, even then, as you say, how is that unfair to Morecambe

 

If it is Adams we are waiting for and he changes his mind to stay we will be in a really bad position

 

No-ones disputing the proper protocols have been followed but Sparks has fuelled the speculation. Fine if both club's seasons have finished and we're just waiting for a contractural issue to be settled but Morecambe are negotiating the play-offs and we all know how speculation can de-rail such things. At the very least it's disrespectful. If it's no big deal why not just come out and announce it.

So on that logic is it time to bring the better clubs into the FL, and have a L2 North & L2 South with two from each going up to L1 and re-election at the bottom of L2N/ L2S ....................... ???

This isn't 1958 Ray, teams go up and down from the Nat League all the time and most of them are fully professional, The National League might as well be called League Three given teams like Stockport & Chesterfield throwing more money at it than most in L2 do.

Baring in mind Sparks and the club have not once mentioned Morecambe and Adams, which parts are fuelling speculation and are disrespectful? I’m lost. Fans will speculate at any club when they don’t have a manager, nothing wrong with that it’s the nature of football but has nothing to do with the club. Both clubs are doing the right thing been quite until the season has finished, thats the respectful thing to do.

 

It might not be Adams it could be Chris Wilder but can't announce it due to his Sheffield United settlement. This is just one scenario of why we have to wait to announce the manager and could be others.

 

swindon, oldham and us have been in the PL. no side in the NL has been in the PL so league two really isn't NL 1.

Hopefully if it is Adams it is a done deal with a signature on the paper

 

All Sparks had to do was say T&S were gone, the search begins for a new manager and then shut up. That's what any respectful club would have done in the circumstances.

 

Again, where has Sparks or anyone else from the club for that matter mentioned Adams, Morecambe or indeed any other manager or club.

All Sparks has said is that not inviting applications as happy with target in mind, now this target could literally be anyone from a current manager in the UK or abroad.

 

Disagree. All Sparks had to do was say T&S are gone, we have a new manager lined up and ready to go, he's already been involved in the retained list, but for contractual reasons we can't announce it until 1st June/ 2nd June or whatever.

It wouldn't stop the Adams speculation but it would give people some re-assurance rather than the "not seeking applications" stance that has basically told us nothing. That could even mean we aren't seeking applications because we are pursuing our own targets but don't actually have a manager yet.

He's left things hanging far too much and could have settled things easily without breaking any confidence. Just bat back any questions by repeating the above. His problem is that he is just a tease.
