New Manager - Welcome Derek Adams

Certain this is the case Botswana, scout I know said a lot of conversations have been taking place - its obviously not ideal and we'd all prefer to have our new manager in place, but it is not stopping progress from happening

 

If we are having conversations then we must be telling these potential signings who the new manager is. Who in their right mind would sign for a club without knowing who they are working for ?

 

If only football was that simple, there have been as small a clubs as Morecombe gone up and stayed up in fact the likes of Burton and Wycombe Wanderers have been Championship clubs.

 

Wouldn't it be good if Flynn was really our man and FGR score again !

Niall Canavan signed by Adams at Plymouth. I think he signed knowing Adams is on his way to us.

 

That's a bit of a stretch.

We hadn't spoken to Adams when Canavan signed, and that's documented. We had permission but didn't make the approach.

We stalled on approaching Adams because T&S were doing so well. In the event that T&S had taken us up and performed a miracle, there would be zero chance we'd then turn to Adams without causing a riot; so there's zero chance we would have promised Canavan that Adams would be the manager.

You can't just assume all of that based on the fact Adams once signed him at Plymouth, crikey Moses. Even if it turned out to be true, it's a pretty ridiculous leap to make.

 

We aren't skint, the 1903 stuff is all part of improving the experience throughout the club, not just the playing side. From what Sparks said in his last interview we can generate the cash we need and when the time is right he said he would look forward to asking for Stefan Rupp for the finances we would need at the next level. I get the impression that Stefan Rupp is interested and is in regular touch with Sparks, it's just that he's not a football expert like Edin was.

 

Not sure if this has been posted, but Kenny Jackett is the Leyton Orient manager.

Think he was discussed as an option earlier in the thread, but probably dismissed as we could have signed him anytime in theory.

Still, the pool thins out a little more...

Don't subscribe so can only read first paragraph which does say that Adams is expected to be new manager. That is the first time I think the T&A has gone as far as saying that?

 

ex players now telling us how good Adams is. Are they in the know. it seems like Adams is nailed on as next manager.
Unless its all part of a big trick , to throw us off the scent.
