Woke?, what are you on about. There's nobody less woke than me. Check his history of misconduct and fraudulent activities going back to his days at Boston, his shocking behaviour at Valkey Parade when manager of Crawley, and as I keep saying, he has had no success since promotion from league 2 in 2013.

What a great level headed co-chairman very gracious in his comments with regards Adams, obviously didn't want Adams to leave but as he says it a footballing matter not money, said Adams had taken them from the bottom of league two to promotion to league one and made them finacial sound.

 

That’s the only thing that disappoints me promotion to division one is a magnificent achievement for such a small club and for various reasons they haven’t been able to celebrate it properly. I wish them well next season

 

The 87/88 season under Dolan was one of my all time favourites. We were playing superb football and outplaying the likes of Leicester,West Brom, and the home win over Middlesbrough in the league was one of our all time great performances. Ended up playing too many cup ties and it caught up with us in the end.

The club going for a manager they really want and not getting a manager on the cheap because he’s isn’t on a contract.

Hope some of the terminal grumpys (dont mean you CaptGrumps) on here are a bit more chilled today - perhaps also a chance to acknowledge RS stance on what he said the club was doing and that he has delivered. We have targeted a manager who was in work and who has had a lot of success at our level and persuaded him to join us - realistically it could not have happened any quicker so a bit of humility from the moaners would be good, but dont expect it.
Welcome to the new man - still not going to quote his name until it is officially announced, and expect a couple of new signings to follow very quickly

 

I’m glad he said the aim is promotion and is happy to put that pressure on himself and the players, at least those already here and to come in know what is expected if you’re at this club.

McCall used to always play it down, talk about a lot of good teams in the division, we have our targets in the dressing room etc. None of that rubbish straight to the point, from the owner right down to the fans should all know and be able to open talk about the seasons objectives.

 

I hope he makes us despised. The whole Bantamsfamily thing is bollocks. Time to start getting nasty, and maybe win for a change.

 

I don't get the abuse of Sutton. Sure we want better, we want it all across the pitch, but over the season I think he had more of an influence than Watt, who many lauded. Course he's not Iniesta but he can go past a man and can find the net. What he does need to find is consistency and he may find that easier if he isn't having to do all the running for the rest of the midfield. And I'm not a fecking happy clapper. Let's see what Adams thinks

 

3 years is way more than long-termism for us mate!!

A dinosaur? Are you kidding me? Multiple promotions and a cup with the hitherto non-achieving Ross County. Scotland's Manager of the Year. Got Plymouth promoted. Has got the previously rubbish Morecambe into the play offs on a tiny budget, and with one of the highest scoring stats in Lg 2. UEFA A coaching licence, has done coach training in Spain, Portugal and the USA. Do your homework, mate.

 

It's funny how Evans is still considered successful based on very old data (nearly a decade of mediocre performances is ignored) JUST because he's a divisive character who people remember.

No wonder Trump won the Presidency if all you need to be considered successful is to be memorable.

Steve Evans is doing nowt, and has done nowt for quite some time. He's not the guaranteed promotion some seem to think.

Time for those saying they'd take him if it meant going up to understand he wouldn't take us up.
