    Prescience was established when Jenkins was interested in taking a stake in Charlton which of course came to nothing once the Covid restrictions were introduced. One comment made by Jenkins then was that 'the timing has to be right' and restrictions on fans being prevented from attending live football suggested that the time wasn't right!. Of course there is nothing to prevent Prescience being used as a vehicle for pursuing lots of other footballing interests .. once the timing is right again.

    Yes he was, it is correct that Rhodes brokered the deal with Jenkins for McBurnie. Swansea wanted a lower sellon fee, Bradford a bigger one. Settled onn15%

    @loz@loz is correct i was referring to the swansea to Sheffield deal. If Rhodes was thanking him for that deal you are referring to, who on earth takes five years to thank someone!? :joy:

    Do think something is going on behind the scenes but we wait and see if something comes of it.

    I'm struggling to envisage a scenario where Rupp receives anything like what he paid for the club.

    We're a league lower than when he bought it and that's without a pandemic destroying most revenue streams across professional football.

    I think the best he can hope for is someone as naïve as he was wanting to buy a club. Or (noting the EFL's dire warnings today) that we jump a couple of divisions by default because there's that many clubs that go to the wall.

    Seems to be quite a few updates from Nixon. All quiet on the official front from City.
    I remember Mark Lawn telling me about his interest and talks with JR months before he became joint chairman and any news became public about that. I will contact Mark tomorrow and see whether he has heard anyrhing
