    Does Simon Parker work for Bradford City @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler? Doesn't he work for Newsquest and have a job to do or is he on Bradford City's payroll?

    Why does he have to report the official line?

    He is an embedded local reporter not an investigative one. He gets interviews and allowed access to employees of the club this can be withdrawn. Therefore he doesn’t report anything that rocks the boat

    Maybe it’s Huw Jenkins in as CEO until the end of the season before an official takeover is launched. Gives him time to appoint his men if the money is there and assess the club and where we need to work on things? Gives them a window to put some players onto the pitch who fit their model? Time for fans to get back into the ground?

    all speculation but to me sounds a dream scenario. An actual man with a proven track record with a structure in place to go to bring the club into the 21st century.

    Come on. :neutral: Parker is dependent on City for his ‘stories’. He is ‘independent’, but the T&A have a vested interest in Parker having a working relationship with the club. Parker himself won’t want to jeopardise it, as a significant part of his job depends on reporting on Bradford City. You don’t put your job on the line in those sorts of circumstances.

    Look at bolton last season owner went mad and banned jornos from entering the ground. To be honest theres not much he could say to upset them, he speaks his mind about what happens on the pitch. If he spouted nonsense like most rags do nowadays woundnt surprise me if he did in trouble/banned!!

    No they didn’t! The T&A actually said, ‘Meanwhile, a national report claiming that former Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins could be coming to City is understood to be wide of the mark‘. That comment is worded in such a way that it allows ‘wriggle’, so that it could easily alter.
    If the T&A had said something like, ‘Meanwhile, a national report claiming that former Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins could be coming to City is categorically denied by the club, who stated “there is no substance whatsoever in the rumour”, would have been an unequivocal comment.

    Parker is respecting the wishes of those involved, thus the no story angle. It may come to nothing but Jenkins is keen on acquiring our club just like he was a number of other clubs including Charlton.

    Dont forget you was doing back flips when the t & a told us there were 2 Germans taking over us to push us to next level.
