Rupp doesn't need to become his own man when it comes to football though. Edin was meant to have done him over. Boryer was never the right appointment for us.

Make no mistake about it McCall is about the season ticket sales. My feeling is they were low and as soon as Rhodes said he wanted 20k then I knew Boryer would be in deep trouble.

McCall will bring the fans back and now we can hope for better football and top 7 finish. Think if McCall was here at the start of the season we would be talking about a top 3 finish. Top 3 is still a possibility but let's see what happens over these next 2 vital home games.

However, McCall needs to prove himself as a top manager here now and this will be his last chance at management at Bradford City, so let's all get behind the legend and hopefully we have a happy ending!!

The appointment of McCall will now put Rhodes, Rupp and Sparks under the spot light more.

It's a bit like the Utd situation and we won't turn on McCall.

Hopefully, we start to build a long term plan now.

Youve more faces than the town hall clock, you was the one saying earlier in the season " it was auto our nothing" when I was saying I'd take a play off.

    Ha let me explain.

That was for Bowyer. I felt that given the time he had(last season) the players we signed, budget and had plus the standard or the league it had to be automatic or nothing. That has to be his target.

I feel it was his target and now we're 7 points away with other teams having games in hand other us that Rhodes decided enough is enough.

Now McCall is in his target has to be play offs at least considering we are in 8th but after these next 2 games automatic could be back on but I am all about setting realistic targets. Bowyer was failing but I am you realised that a week ago when it was clear for months.

Agree with Fordy's explanation on this one though still worried about the midfield ball winner situation. Perhaps Stuart may play a defender there.

My very optimistic predictions see it ending like this.

    upload_2020-2-6_13-24-25.png

This would require 2 points per game (something Stuart couldn't achieve during his last spell with us. He was at 1.625 points per game. If he achieve that same ppm we'd finish on 71 points and miss out on the playoffs. So basically he has to do better than his last, quite successful spell with us to have a chance of getting us into the playoffs.

Does that sound like something he'd do? Not for me. We never played with one last time did we? Dieng and Vincelot was it? Wouldn't say tough tacklers but did a good job in the middle. I know Vincelot ended up in defence but as my memory serves he was class in the air and a good reader of the game.

Now wouldn’t playing Swindon in the play offs be interesting if your predictions come true

It would be the best ending to a frustrating season.

This might cause a bit of a fuss. The moral of the story for all of us is to never let the facts get in the way of some misplaced optimism! ;)

And risk us missing out on going up due to a Palmer assisted Doyle goal? No thanks.

I WAS being optimistic! OK. So lets take those final 6 losses out of the picture. The bad run of form that "led to his sacking".

He'd be on 1.73 ppm. Completely discounting those games.

Now say he continued his pretty regular win record of between 41 - 45%. (We'll go for 45% cos we are being optimistic and we'll round up) and say he would have won 3 of those 6 without Edin's meddling and HendrieGate. He also has a 25% draw record. So off those final 6 games we would expect him to have at least drawn 1. So we'll be REALLY optimistic and say he draws 2. :p So from those final 6 games (of which he lost all of them) We'd actually see 11 points... giving us 1.74 ppm. (He'd have nearly been better off not playing them. :p)

But yeah. Lets go with the super optimistic 1.74 ppm. Over 15 games we'd see 26 points... finishing on 73 points and probably JUST make the playoffs.

    18/19 = 71
    17/18 = 75
    16/17 = 70
    15/16 = 75
    14/15 = 71

It's going to be TIGHT. Even if we are being optimistic and Stuart does very very well.

Quite a bizarre way of thinking for us not to get into the play offs in the possibility of a player who played for us who's heart wasn't in it scores a goal from an ex player who did absolutely nothing. I'd rather take the chance.

Well done Rhodes in talking to Parker.

See this what he needs to be doing not instead doing instead of sparks.

The CEO at football club should do the talking.

We are Bradford City mate, it's the sort of thing that happens to us. I'd rather avoid that risk if possible.
