    You know what?

I have never tried Guinness...it just doesn't appeal.
    Enjoy when you return.

Wow. Most drunk pint in the UK, overtaking Carling. 1 in 9 pints drunk is the black stuff. Try one of the “draught” cans. I think you’d like it,

I actually had a bottle today during the game. 62DE8261-742F-4723-812C-2F3ED6F4B57B.jpeg

My local in Brid sells it at £3.65 a pint (I think)....it just doesn't look appealing tbh mate.

Tbh it doesn’t really taste of much! All about the drinkability.

Today I tried Lechs new Easy Drinking beer. 4.3%, wasn’t too bad. Now I have a pint of 1715 which is Ukrainian beer

I have a locals card for those pubs in Brid that accept them. I think there’s two or three but you get really cheap pints

I had to ask for the names as not been in a long time, but the Goat and Hook & Parrot are where you can use them. Just go in and ask, they'll need your postcode and that's it

    Oh right.....as my postcode is BD9 I don't reckon I'd qualify :).
Our lass on the other hand ...Yo15....
Having said that, the only time we go in the Hook and Parrot is scooter weekend and we aren't fans of the Goat.

It's worth it even if you don't use it. Handy to have in the wallet and yeah, I don't mind the Hook & Parrot but wasn't the biggest fan of the Goat myself. They turn games off as soon as the whistle blows lol

I must confess to not being a big fan of stouts of any kind -- usually if I have Guinness in the house it's their HopHouse13 lager! But this time I do have the "draught" stout in bottles -- needed some to go into a Dublin coddle. It's alright, if a bit boring. The beer, I mean, not the coddle.

Went for an option I didn't list above: the Publican House Brewery's Pub House ale. Another very drinkable Ontario craft beer.

Both Vocation and 7 Brothers now have great bars in Halifax town centre. Well worth a visit.

No surprise really. Guinness are a marketing dream, and the way they have piggy backed Cheltenham, The Six Nations & Paddys Day means that a massive number of under 25's are now drinking it. You should see the queues outside Mulligan's in Manchester on a warm Saturday afternoon.

Agree. Helps that they have good partners too. Paddy Power and their marketing are superb. Did you catch this one last week? Brilliant.

Three colourful Estonian beers today. To match the amount of goals we’ll score (3-1 I had a dream).
A NEIPA. A Florida Weisse & a sour apple ale. Interesting line up!

After yesterday's trip to Crawley, I got back to my 'local' pub in Stafford just before 11pm to find that St Austell Proper Job was one of their 10 guest ales. Best result of the day.
