Well done City today. Good to see Pritchard start and have a good game.

Please Stuart, stick to 4-4-2 going forward, dont pick a stupid diamond, or any other formation for that matter, to counter sides in the league. Let the opposition worry about us.

A win. We were the better team but Mansfield looked poor. But as the saying goes you can only play what is in front of you.

Well that was refreshing. Amazing what happens when you play people in their proper positions. We had a lucky start but for me everyone had a good game. I thought AOC and BRE were excellent in the middle, Wood took his goal well, very impressed with Hosannah, Pritchard worked his socks off and was a real bonus on the left and Donaldson had a really effective game and a great goal. And the most crucial factor for me, the one that made us far more dangerous, was the fact that Billy Clarke wasn't playing for the first time this season. Cooke looked a different player as a consequence. Hope Stuart can build on this and stop tinkering but I'm not holding my breath. Mansfield, however, were pretty hopeless but wins bring confidence and we need to keep the same line-up and kick on on Tuesday.

Good performance against a dreadful Mansfield side. Shape suited us, everyone knew their positions and roles and as a result we looked more comfortable and balanced.

Wood and Hossanah superb for me. The latter looks like a good find on today's evidence. Pritchard had a solid game too but really should've scored at least once. Another good game for Watt and Cooke looked more comfortable in the system too. Fair play to BRE who was good today. Its against opposition like that where he'll do well rather than against your counter attacking type sides.

Mansfield looked as clueless as we did on Monday. It's a good win but let's see how long we stick with this formation. I bet it isn't for long.

Happy with that. 4-4-2 and everyone sounded like they knew what they were doing.

Then Kenny Black comes on the radio and starts talking about matching teams up. No! Come on man. Just stick with what seems to suit us.

Amazing what a simple 442 can do and players playing in the positions they’ve played all their careers! We looked like a totally different team. Hosannah made a huge impact at RB too. Shout outs to Pritchard, BRE and Clayton who’ve been written off in some parts, all playing very well. Keep it simple now Stuart!

Would we have gone with this line up today had Sutton and Evans been fit? Playing a left footer on the left side of any formation is just common sense yet on Monday we go with a player used to playing on the right. Have to stick with this for Tuesday now.

100%. I think we've got 2 games a week now right up to Christmas and obviously that means there is going to have to be some rotation of players at times, so let's keep it simple and stick to the same formation so that is only the personal that changes at times, not the shape!

I honestly don't think we would have. Sometimes injuries can be a blessing eh?

I'm wondering how Evans slots in, because I bet Stuart brings him in as and when he's able.

A lot of jibber jabber about how 4 4 2 is the only workable formation again. We should stick rigidly to it, can't mix it up because we lost to a buoyant Harrogate, etc etc etc

Not getting too excited as funny enough I want to see on Tuesday if McCall really learnt his lesson and sticks to a winning team, a formation to suit and stop worrying about teams we play.

However, today was good overall. Excellent win

I'm all for having a plan b for if things aren't going our way, but we should always start by playing the way we are most comfortable and confident with.
