No excuse, compare him to their centre back who had Cook in his pocket the whole game perhaps? Their centre backs didn’t pass it to our front men THREE times , which Paudie did during the 90 mins.

Can't disagree. Then other games he's been Captain Courageous. The point I was making was that at this level, that's what you should expect from many of your players - few ever consistent, in and out from game to game. It's why they - and we - are in Lg 2. And currently it's where we fully deserve to be. This is this worst squad at City for decades - and that's including the shower that got us relegated from Lg 1.

 

I still hope Paudie will be with us next season, alongside an experienced centre back who is a good talker and with a bit of pace. We shouldn't write all the existing players off and POC is still a relatively young lad

 

He would be immense with an Andrew Davies type alongside him.

 

Got to say their support was excellent on Saturday.

Exactly my thoughts, realistically we can't have a 100% turn over of those out of contract - the only thing that would make that happen is if none of them wanted to stay and I would like to think the ones who are offered a new contract will have the burning ambition to work under and learn from MH and his team (and if they don't then they are no great loss)

Yes, what won't work is someone younger/less experienced than him. He's shown he's not yet able to help that kind of person through the match. He's still too reckless or rash in his decision making at times as well.
