Cheapskates. Thats not how its done. What you should be doing is signing loanees who never feature and 2 or 3 journeymen strikers and paying for the lot. Preferably by selling your one half decent Centre Back in the last couple of hours of the transfer window to fund it.

Youre right as if turned out Lavery & Robinson weren't good enough, Cook is not usually a sick note unfortunatly both were out injured at the same time, when we did get Cook back the poor performances has set in and no matter what Adams did to correct them it wasn't good enough.
I believe there are players in this squad that Hughes will keep and add to, we just need a few more points to take any threat of relegation away and that will give Hughes a little time to really get to know who is capable and who isn't.

 

It was a good battle him and Cook I thought at times the lad got away with a few dodgy challenges but the referee to be fair tried to let the game flow to his credit.

 

Matty Longstaff won’t be on 20k a week will he. It’s not Sean, his superior brother, there on loan. This lad has been at Aberdeen on loan and that’s it.

 

So what is the amount? . We know he’s on serious money. Their CEO was rather coy, don’t forget a pittance to Newcastle is serious money to us, and Mansfield. Clearly he’s on a great salary, who pays it is the unknown, neither is the proportion.

This defence really does worry me at times. Foulds fecked up the header for the first

And Hendrie pressed forward an provided space for Mansfield to get the second

I really hate the fact that Songo is playing CB. Have for a while now. Even Paudie who is known as McCardle V2 brings the ball forward from defence from time to time rather hoofing it on the spot

Watt played Okay

Sutton had moments

They don’t compliment one another as a midfield pairing though. They both have attributes where they excel at but they aren’t adequate in other areas of their game in order to complement one another

Daly was Ineffective. Cooke did much better. There’s a reason he was our player of the year last season, well for me anyways

Defensive calamity aside, Hendrie looks promising. Had no winger ahead of him but was competent enough for most of the game to do his defensive an his attacking duties. Did well to get on the end of several long balls from Watt

Gillead had one of his better games. Would of shone a bit more but seeing as he was the only winger in the team, it was pretty easy for Mansfield to click on as to who the danger man was

Cook spent most the game getting manhandled by their No.6

Robinson is pony. His one an only game where he was actually linking up with his strike partner happened with Trueman at the helm. Not Adams or Hughes. Go Figure

I knew he was gonna miss that chance btw, All I could do was laugh tbh

Lavery did a better job of linking up with Cook. Id like to see him play next game

Evans put a shift in, perhaps he may still be of use to us for the remainder of this season


Poor game. It is what it is. Hopefully some players are back from injury soon enough an we can actually form a side capable of making the opposition work

 

Aberdeen won't have paid a great deal because they can't afford to. And he hardly played.
Why would Mansfield pay more?

 

So how much then? Lots of words, but no substance on what Mansfield are paying towards his weekly wage.

 

Yes in the respect that investment in the squad pays off. Perhaps it’s something that we shouldn’t worry about? So why the hell are we calling out Rupp for lack of investment?

Least one good positive from yesterday Hughes really know how bad this lot really are ............ a full week of training coming up because frankly the Swindon game as a lot on it we lose that then we should start being a bit nervous the gaps still decent but a few of them win there games in hand Carlisle especially then god knows what happens
