Id agree Dave. They are nothing special tbh. One extremely tidy piece of centre forward play. It took me by surprise and very clever. Two centre back are a slow, poor liability. Twice Paudie has given the ball away and Songo isn’t a makeshift centre back. His legs have gone !

 

This 90 mins will be a massive eye opener to Mark Hughes as to how much work is needed, and how poor this squad is.

Songo'o was awful too. A bang average midfielder at centre back, next to a bang average centre back and flanked by 2 awful full backs, in front of a poor keeper and protected by a midfield who can't tackle

 

How do you know if you walked out at 2-0

 

Hes got a massive job on his hands. This squad is truly awful. Lacking in just about everything.

He quickly needs to realise that talk of 'getting up the table' is a nonsense, and the immediate job at hand is staving off relegation.

 

This squad is utterly woeful.

We've got one senior centre half at the club.

Fullbacks who couldn't cross a road. And for that matter, not a single player in this squad can cross a ball.

Songo'o? Do me a favour, the bloke couldn't pass wind. No point passing it to him, just hoof it out of play and cut out the middle man.

And don't get me started on the strike force. Six of them and only one is anywhere near good enough.

Genuinely think the side that finished rock bottom of L1 was better than this one. Caddis, AOC, Wood, O'Brien, Payne, Ball, Doyle are all better than players in their respective positions in this side.

 

Hendrie an awful full back? You are having a laugh m8.

 

Well I'm not finding it funny , put it that way. Hes average at best. A long way short of what would be needed for a promotion side.

 

I thought the few games that Hendrie has played so far for us he would be in my top 3 players each game.

 

Yeah signing a injury prone forward as one of our maIn striking hopes without a decent back up was a masterstroke by the club.

We sang all game mate. Some. At the front weren't giving it first half, but lots were and 2nd half we were superb. Didn't hear much from you guys, but loi grt it given récent form. Youre right as if turned out Lavery & Robinson weren't good enough, Cook is not usually a sick note unfortunatly both were out injured at the same time, when we did get Cook back the poor performances has set in and no matter what Adams did to correct them it wasn't good enough.
I believe there are players in this squad that Hughes will keep and add to, we just need a few more points to take any threat of relegation away and that will give Hughes a little time to really get to know who is capable and who isn't.
