One minute the coach doesn't need involving in transfers, his job is to blend the players at his disposal into a winning side, then I'm told Abbott went on record dispelling this myth, yet the coach has had no input into the retained list or transfer targets, someone needs to sort out just exactly what a head coaches requirements are.
Because to me that's exactly what Grayson was expected to do with the squad at his disposal and failed badly, yet many said he can't be judged on someone else's players, that is exactly what the new head coach will be expected to do.

 

Off the top of your head? Having spent nearly an hour googling that's all there is. Hardly inspiring. Not wanting to be an ars e but other than cherry, yorath and wetherall I don't see the great link.

I would love to know what Edins definition and job specifications are for a head coach.
At a guess i would say they won't be the norm.
Hence the wait.

 

Add Paul Reaney, Rod Johnson, Mick Bates, Tom Hallett, John Hawley, David McNiven, Robert Molenaar, Lee Sharpe, Arthur Graham, Carl Shutt, when you look at it Leeds were our feeder club .

Nobody makes member read it, if the club got their finger out we would have a new head coach by now, then this thread would be redundant.

 

If we get the right one then the wait will be worth it

 

All passed on to us after their sell by date. Some with more success than others. I remember all of them and saw all of them play. Paul Reaney and Mick Bates surprisingly missing from the list. But always on their way down. It would be nice to pass the likes of these on our way up for a change.

 

That's not fair @Park bantam , Tom Hallett was a great servant, Rod Johnson, John Hawley, David McNiven, Carl Shutt did OK in their time at Valley Parade, Shutt getting a couple of very important goals during that run in, and Hawley was a great foil for big Bobby, although he chipped in with a few in that Championship winning team.

 

Agree, but that was not the point he was making, he said "88 pages of nothing", which I disagree maybe 87 pages .
