Good post. It is just like one thing after another that is adding to the concerns. I just feel despite the good things that are happening around the stadium, we cannot sustain a positive vibe or change the perception that we are as a club in chaos. The recruitment of a manager has now turned into an impossible mission! It is ok everyone saying we didn’t want Grayson anyway, but a club like us to not be able to attract a Grayson is actually quite shocking. For the previous manager who loves this club to say he is not surprised, once again shocking. More silence from VP Towers!

Your right, no amount of internet chatter is going to turn our club into chaos, but not being able to recruit a good manager will.

I wonder if House of Fraser and Poundworld are issuing bi-weekly updates to stay transparent with their customer base, business doesn't work like that and football is a business.

 

It cant be made any more clear,we are only workingvwith what weve got(grayson was offered a package which he declined,his choice)why should we put the club at risk just for mr grayson,?.
I dont see many clubs scrapping for his signiture any hows.
As soon as a job comes up free its the usual lists of managers who gets branded about.i say sod them lets think out of the box just like edins doing with our next appointment.

But House of Fraser and Poundworld didn't have to rely on the same customers week after week to sustain their business and there customers didn't have the same passion for the business as a football club
As you say football at our level is a business and all the worse for it

I'm far away from meltdown, as things are - but concerned ? Yes.
It's OK saying Pre-season is still 3 weeks away ........ However, the new Coach needs to be in place well before then. A first for him will be to recruit his backroom staff, and introduce them to his own strategies. Meetings will then take place where player recruitment will be discussed, as these may impact on his training and coaching ideas.
The new Coach needs to be in place sooner, rather than later ................ It's no good moving House, and holding a 'house warming' party on the same day ! Let's get most things in place before training kicks in.
