Park you’re either deluded or Edin.

 

In many ways now it doesn’t matter what the truth is or isn’t. In the world of football our club has become toxic. Edin is trying to recruit players and a coach, within this perception of our club. He may well have to go abroad which in my view increases the risk. Plus the chances of the latter part of last season repeating, as we have no idea if the lessons have actually been learnt.
I agree loads of very good things going on at VP, but now being swamped. At the moment we can’t seem to portray our club in a positive light. I am so frustrated, how hard can it be to hire a coach/manager? If your plan/philiosophy is not going down well with candidates you have to change, or otherwise the chances of you re ruicruiting the right person goes out of the window, and we will be back here in a couple of months.

 

Some fans appear to be paranoid about the media not liking us
During our cup runs it was the BBC that supposedly didn't like us, and now The Daily Mail. Load of rubbish in my opinion, why should National media give a toss about us either way

 

The way it is going, we are likely to see the players returning to a caretaker manager, probably Abbo, as the board continue to try and persuade somebody to accept the role full time.

I'm not paranoid about anything, they put the boot in whenever they can, just my opinion, nothing to do with the BBC or any other media.

 

There’s a deeper context to ‘just finishing 11th’.

In my opinion, tensions that had been held back came to bursting point and our club ‘broke’ mid way through last season. And I don’t believe Edin is capable of repairing it.

Yes we have some keyboard warriors and social media squabbling. But that happens everywhere and it isn’t materially damaging to the club.

Poor recruitment, toxicity amongst the players and around the club, fans leaving in numbers, declining results, the growing farce around the Head Coach recruitment, shocking PR. None of that is down to supporter behaviour on line.

Look at McCall’s words in the press the other day. ‘It didn’t surprise me in the slightest that (Grayson) didn’t stay’. Think about what that really means, both in the context of the words and who said them. Think about what it means when a serial winner takes a good look at us for 4 months and would rather choose unemployment.

 

Edin might be putting his track suit on as well.

 

Can't see anything different happening
Edin likes Greg who has bought into his system hook line and sinker
He also saves a wage etc etc
Put your money on it

Those who think that the club are influenced by social media are kidding themselves
Fans forums have no effect whatsoever on the running of the club
It's not our train set and our opinions count for nothing (at the moment)

 

Time for Edin and Rupp to get a grip, face the reality of FL life and protect their investment with decisions which are deserving of the current situation. The former Lords of VP looked upon their tenure ship as primarily being custodians. I wonder if this is the case for the present incumbents. Lose the connection Edin and you've lost the fans.

A thoughtful post which stands out because of that. The image is becoming or has become more important than the reality. Changing the image will need a manager/coach, successfully completed transfers and winning the first few games. Not things that can be rushed.

 

And this idea is pathetic to me, there's nothing majorly wrong other than people wanting Edin do an interview bi weekly to tell them what's going on. To suggest a couple of signings and a few wins will solve all this witch hunting shows how petty football is and in particular a minority of our fan base.

 

So this thread is a month old today. What ever happened to Iliya Gruev?

 

Added to that a bit of transparency from the club
Official updates would go a long long way to quell the unrest
It seems that the fans have become an after thought we were here before the present board and will be here long after they have gone. It's seems apparent that the lifeblood of the club the fans no longer count. The day is coming when the fans will begin to vent their feelings and could vote with their feet. That can only be harmful to our club with a massive loss of revenue. The first few games will be absolutely crucial to the future of our club Win them and all will be well I hate to think of the consequences if we lose them. It's time to apoint a head coach/manager/ scapegoat NOW so we can hit the ground running
