That should read you have lost all ambition-you certainly don't speak for me.

Unlike you and some others on here, I am waiting until the new manager and players are in the building and we have played 10 league games before I can gauge where we are at.

Just caught up after a day gardening in cloudy Spain, having a beer and agreeing with the first part of your post Park.
Last July Stefan came over and saw staff, some Ambassadors and a number of sponsors so this is common knowledge. SR and ER were delighted that the first blocks were in place for player development. "Sam (Collins) has a great reputation in his field and we have given him the brief to get one of his group in the first team each season"
As you say we have had Omari, Robinson and Gibson making L1 appearances and others in other games or on the bench. Not a bad start I would say. It remains to be seen if progress can continue but such as Reece Powell, Curtis Peters, Alex Laird and three or four others must have a chance. Well done Sam, good choice S&E.

Those players shoulder the blame for the way the season ended in my book!! Regardless of what went on Stuart and the team should have been professional enough to put it to one side..
Bolton players weren’t getting paid in their league one season yet managed to gain promotion

It would seem from the interview that although mistakes were made, the priority behind the scenes was to ensure the financial stability in the day to day running of the Club from a business perspective. This he has more or less done. He has recognised the need for the required skill sets to be imported into the framework of the Club, to supplement and improve things off the pitch. Likewise, he has strengthened ties with Woodhouse Grove as an important facility for the development and education of youth recruits. Few, if any, other clubs have this comprehensive foundation structure at their disposal. The Club shop, managed 'in house', is an important step forward for us I think, and the pitch being invested in is another plus. For me, the jury is still out regards the Owners, but Edin appears sincere in his attempt to implement a strategy which will benefit the Club and enable progression on the field one step at a time.He has a lot of time for loyalty and trusts Greg's judgement on recruiting. Perhaps some of last season's problems were caused through him not being clear enough with his action plan, which caused frictions and confusion. However, he is the Chairman and there can be little mileage in confrontation, as he does appear to be making much needed progress within the structure of our Club.

Absolute nonsense. Until Hudds were promoted from the Championship to the PL, Hoyle has continued to fund the club despite the many millions they have received from selling players. That was the main reason why ML & JR said they weren't in a position to fund our club even when we were in the Championship.

As an example, when Hudds were promoted from Div 1 to the Championship, Hoyle is to be applauded for providing about £20m to his club to fund their higher wages etc over about 4 years. He had also provided many millions on top of this to fund transfer payments for additional players - nearly £2m for example in 2011/12 alone - which they hoped to sell on at a profit at a later date. Hoyle referred to it in detail in his Chairman's Report. By the time they were promoted to the PL, his funding of the club (without the extra he had also invested in their training facilities) had increased to £52m. Or if you do the arithmetic, Hoyle provided the club with another £32m over the four years whilst in the Championship.

In my mind, that is the club hardly being self sufficient. If Rahic were to adopt the Hoyle model to fund the club's losses and he were to define 'being self sufficient' per your description, we will all be looking forward to our club having a huge war chest to get into the Championship and then to maintain our position there. But it ain't going to happen!

He owns the bloody club, he’s in debt to himself. Can we now stop mentioning Huddersfield as an example of a club we can follow. Please?

My sentiments exactly. To a T. I feel exactly the same Onside, and I do think a lot more of the die hard fans will soon become disheartened. It’s such a shame, and I think it’s even harder to take because we were so very nearly there, and instead of tweaking what we had we’ve taken a huge step backwards, it cannot be denied.

No real aspirations for promotion this year. The 3 year plan now out of the window like many of the other assurances that were made. The gap between budgets and our ability to compete will increase year on year. I can’t see us being in the mix for promotion anytime soon. I really do fear for the club now. Gutted

He helped Charlie but we're clutching at straws if we think Bruencker is the answer.

If he starts 10 games we won't get near the play-offs.

So Ipswich didn’t make contract with Shrews and sign their manager days later? Heckingbottom signed a new contract with Barnsley and before the ink had dried, he’d signed one with Leeds.

Even McCall replaced Parkinson in less than 2wks. Let’s stop the crap that this cannot be done in 2wks

This idea that because the process is taking longer that somehow we are going to end up with a better candidate is laughable. We could take till next year, doesn't mean the prospective manager is going to be any good, all this bollocks about waiting for the right choice. Just get on with it FFS.

More like he came here blowing smoke up his own arse then quickly realised just what a clusterfuck this club was both on and off the field. All this bollocks about talks with Rupp and Rahic, he'd made up his mind very early on that he could not work under the circumstances that the club currently finds itself in. Not a huge loss but one has to ask why a manager of his undoubted ability at this level could not halt the slide of a sinking club. I'm guessing Rahic is hesitant in making a decision at this time because if he gets it wrong his already somewhat suspect reputation around Valley Parade will be shot to pieces.

Day 29, still trapped here, supplies are low, the sun is blistering. I keep getting messages in a bottle, clearly from some german bloke, telling me not to worry and help will come soon. This voice in my head keeps telling me it's a load of shite and not to believe "ze germans", I think i'll call the voice Ricc, he's always there when I get one of these messages. He says there's another german too but i've not had anything from him, I can't be sure he even exists any more than Ricc does, please god of football, send help soon

Fully expecting a statement tomorrow stating that article is bollocks, we've got a new and improved shortlist of candidates and we'll make an appointment sometime before Christmas

There’s no need to bash them at every opportunity is there

We had to improve the pitch otherwise we’d have faced penalties from the fa/efl, that’s true.

But they could have chosen to do it cheap and bodged a cheap relay and left the pipework and seen how long it lasted. Much like lawn and Rhodes did. But they haven’t. They have got a first class company in and look to have fixed it good and proper this time. Time will tell of course. We had great updates and it looks very promising.

I don’t think they are perfect but come on, we need to stop this bash them for everything and anything when they have done a good job.
