    Agree
But its probably the easiest way to restore confidence when it hits the back of the net

Apart from Chicksen and McGowan (who both played a very limited part in last year's team), none of the players that started last night were even here last season so how could last season's team beat Macclesfield out of sight? There were also 3 players that started last night that hadn't featured in the two previous games so whilst I agree 'on paper' we should be beating teams like Macclesfield, it certainly isn't a given and like you say, shock results do happen (we should know, we've been on the right side of a few over the last few years). Having said all that, was it really a shock result? A cup game that finished in a draw and went to the lottery that is the penalty shoot out - could we have managed it better? Definitely. Was it a shock result? Disappointing yes, but a shock? Not really.

Of course it was a shock, a team newly back in the football league against a team including ex championship players and an international defender. Collins was right, it is unacceptable. Problem is he was happier than the two previous games. I was rather hoping he would be pissed off.

Collins was to blame 4 5 1 against a shit team is too negative that's why we don't score many

He should have been pissed off
What exactly was he happy about we lost to a team newly promoted to the football league
He said he has positives to take into the Southend game
    Let's see

We should easily beat Southend on Saturday cause Collins said on radio that we had loads of chances at Macclesfield and he was going to tell the players to score them chances at Southend. Happy days

I think that might be the problem Petrov. It should be a shock but I guess to many of us after the chaotic last few months combined with our terrible recent track record in cups, it wasn't.

We would have actually been ball number 4 (ordered alphabetically) - meaning we missed a home tie against Villa.

For the sake of being completist, the full draw would have been:
    Leeds v Everton
    Hull v Preston
Sunderland / Sheff Wed v Wolves
    Nottingham Forest v Newcastle Utd
    Derby v Blackpool
    Bradford City v Aston Villa
    Huddersfield v Burton Albion
    Middlesbrough v Rochdale
    Doncaster Rovers v Rotherham Utd
    Blackburn Rovers v Leicester City
    WBA v Mansfield Town
    Walsall v Lincoln City
    Stoke City v Fleetwood Town

waiting for all those posters that blamed edin and the luke hendrie situation for the loss vs yeovil to lay blame at robinson's door for the loss vs macclesfield.. we'll be waiting a while i'm guessing and goes to show it's personal with edin for a lot of people.

Not really , if someone found a dead cat on the road near valley parade it would be Edins fault.
