Exactly but last seasons league 1 team ( promotion favourites last Christmas) should be beating out of sight last seasons National League team ( no disrespect to Macclesfield) even MC said it would be a shock to lose to them we did and he had it in his power to change things at half time eg Gibson and Robinson but didn't
Shock results do happen eg Chelsea away it's the way a team recovers from it with the help of an experienced manager, back up staff and seasoned professionals on the pitch none of which we have that counts

Yes I've said before a striker should be the first to step up no matter if he's only just come on as Kai had, but I agree if he had stepped up and his was the penalty that got us through imagine what sort of rush that would have given him,and the fans in attendance, and vise versa of course.

Any striker worth his salt in form or not should relish the chance of a one on one with the keeper and no defenders otherwise he shouldn't class himself as a striker

 

Confidence is key. You don't want to take a penalty if you haven't got any.

Can't believe Collins let the players sort out who was going to take the penalties. Who would have taken one if it had been awarded during the match? Surely he should have been first up? Hadn't they thought over Sunday/Monday that it could go to penalties and some preparation made with those players earmarked to play? Surely from about 80 mins on the thought of penalties must have been going through their heads in the dugout. Weren't they even giving it a teeny weeny bit of thought?
