New beginning, but so far same old same old. Disheartening to say the least, time for Edin to get tough. This is not where we should be at. With due respect to Macclesfield ,we should not be drinking from the same trough.A pattern is emerging of backroom belief in the players and a team under performing. We only witness what we see and I accept that we are a work in progress but the basics are not up to it. Preparation is key and somewhere lost in translation. Something's not quite gelling for me and the set up appears cobbled together in hope rather than on certain deliverance.

 

After three games, one of which was a good performance? Come back in a couple of months.

 

I'll be honest,i

I retain belief, but my previous optimism is certainly dented by our stuttering progress. As the promo said 'Matters of the Heart'..I can align myself with your post AJP naturally, but just as you ,cannot foresee, predict or assume. You may well have a point, but indications at present, seem to indicate that we will be held back due to shortcomings in key areas imo.

 

I hope we turn this round, but lets be honest, the last 2 games including last night have been a disgrace. poor poor performances.

The 'head coach' is that in name only. he's just a puppet for the owner. GA and Drury are just yes men. the former a back stabbing git who I hope can look himself in the mirror in a morning.

But it's not what I didn't expect - you can't run a club like a dictatorship - treating senior squad members like crap, shitting on club legends, treating staff poorly - and expect to get results on the pitch - regardless of how much money you spend on the likes of Payne, Doyle and Scannell.

 

I worry we’ll be far too hit and miss until we find a formation that allows our players to play in there natural positions, and play comfortably. I really don’t think we’ve got a bad squad at all, yeah we’re one or two bodies short, but it’ll count for nothing unless we can get them properly organised and motivated.

I had my doubts when the coaching committee we’re brought in, yet I appreciate they need time to install there ideas. I’m just not confident this is going to happen sadly.

Maybe this is a season for no more than tinkering about with the coaching comittee; squad and its formations

You do realise there are still 132 points to play for this season right? Even if we lose the next 10 games (which I don't believe we will), there will still be 102 points up for grabs so lets not write this season off just yet!

Exactly. Collins was bang on with his original statement, losing is unacceptable in professional sport even though it happens. It's how you deal with defeat which will determine how your season goes. Not so happy with his post match comments about being happy with the performance though, he has contradicted himself in the space of a day or two. You've just lost to lower league opposition, get in the changing rooms and tell them its unacceptable seeing as you've already told us supporters.

 

But unfortunately that's the case were this player is concerned.
Bruenker's loud grunt of disapproval after another failed attempt in the box was met by laughter in the away end.
Embarrassing from the player's point of view, and he will have heard it the ground was that empty you could here the players clearly and visa versa what was shouted from the stands.
It would appear on the surface that Bruenker's performances in a City shirt are nothing more than laughable to many.
Trouble is what can you do if he plays persistantly badly we don't have a replacement or do we in young Tom Clare.

 

Granted it's very early days yet and am more than willing to give MC and the lads a more than fair chance
However I am yet to see or hear anything that encourages me to believe that we will grab anywhere near the 102 points you state are available Its all about opinions and I would settle for a mid table finish right now not many will agree but that's what following the roller coaster that is Bradford City is all about

 

So after playing 2 league games - one against last season play off finalists and one against a team that were playing in the championship last season we have 3 points. Quite a few people on here before a ball had even been kicked were saying they would be happy with 3 points from our first 3 games and we have achieved that total with a game to spare, yet you are saying right now, you would settle for a mid table finish???!!! Unbelievable Jeff!

 

You forgot to add we lost to a team that last season were in the National League
Don't get me wrong I would love to see us pushing for the to 6 but as yet am not over enthused with what I have seen and heard granted I couldn't get to Shrewsbury

Is that loss going to impact on where we finish in the league?

 

Sincerely hope not but it won't have done confidence with either players or fans any good
That's what's so fascinating about being a fan up one minute down the next
Did the run to wembley not have a positive effect on our league form

 

Had we been thrashed you might have a point but we weren't. It was a typical early round cup game at the start of the season that could have gone either way.
